Customer Review

I’ve been buying Levi’s 511’s for years and solely wear them. Having last some weight recently I needed a new pair, and got a great deal (70% off) on the ‘Headed South’ jeans over Christmas.

I have the following comments;

Some reviewers have complained that they weren’t sure whether the jeans they bought were genuine. Mine were sold by Amazon and almost certainly genuine.

Levi’s 511’s used to vary depending on the factory used and denim type. They are much more uniform now. I’ve bought four pairs recently and they are centimetre perfect.

The waist size is very flattering, all my 511’s are now 28 inches but my actual waist measured with tape is 30 inches. Think this sizing anomaly would be the same for most people. All American denim brands do it.

The jeans I’m reviewing here were quite thin, probably somewhere in between a pair of khakis and a pair of traditional denim. Probably why Levi’s was offloading them so cheaply through amazon - having struggled to sell. You’ll be happy with them in an office or pub but not if you’re driving a forklift truck.

Overall I’m happy, not the best pair of 511’s I own, but the cheapest. And good enough for what I use them for. Like all 511’s they fit me like a dream.
