True to size

Here it is I will tell you how it is with the Carhartt pocket T sizing. All the reviews moaning it’s too big- nonsense. If this shirt is too big, then it’s the wrong fit for you, you’re looking for the type of shirt where the arms ride up high all skin tight like you’re Boy George. Not these, the fit is excellent, relaxed, comfortable and how it should be for todays style. I’m 6 foot tall, slim and went with L and I wouldn’t size up or down. Again if you want some outdated look where the T-shirt fits like a cyclists Lycra then shop somewhere else.

Crazy sizing!

I’ve a few Carhartt Ts but the sizing variance from one style to another is crazy.. the same size in different styles goes from skin tight to dress like it’s so huge a variance. I’ve ordered so many Ts that don’t fit it’s crazy - for every T I want I need to order L, XL & 2XL to ensure one fits.. come on Carhartt standardised sizing across styles of T-shirts should be possible with clarity like tight or loose style info would be great. I’ve given up buying your Ts as it’s too inconvenient..

These tshirts are incredible quality, I've got several I've had for years and still as new. Super comfortable to wear too.

They are big so make sure you check the sizing. I'm 6'3" and a large guy, I'm normally a XXL or even a 3XL in UK high street sizes, but in these tshirts an XL is a perfect fit.

Only downside is the price at the moment. Can normally find these for much less than £20, sometimes even less than £15, but prices are hiked at the moment due to stock shortages thanks to Covid. Hopefully pick up a few more when prices drop a bit.

I like to wear oversized clothes but these Carhartt t-shirts really take it to the next level.

I usually wear XL but even M felt a bit too bit for me. I also ordered L and XL and they were comically big on me (I'm 5ft 10).

I think the main thing I disliked was that as the sizes go up they just get longer rather than wider. So if you want a 'boxy' fit t shirt where the width is similar to the length, stay away.

The quality felt good (medium weight), but ultimately I had to return as the fit just wasn't right.

First came across these on an American naval base, tried various styles on. I'm even a small in one of the carhartt styles.
But this is just a 1 down situation. If you're slight or thin at all they will be baggy. But then again they're skaters style I guess.

Once you get over the v.slight size issue. These are comfy, thick material and built to last. Mine shrank ever-so slightly over the years and still looks brilliant.

I've just ordered 5 different colours. From various outlets.

But remember 1 size smaller.

Super oversized and gaping hole after only a few months of wear

To expand on the title:

-> The sizing is about 2x larger the stated size. I got a small and it reached below my rear end. This was fine as I was tucking it in anyway; but keep this in mind if you're short/skinny.

-> Gaping hole along the torso stitching after about 10 washes and barely any tumble drying. Considering I took care of this shirt and it's advertised as high-quality cotton, then a hole after such a short length of time is unacceptable, in my opinion.

Aside from all that, it's a comfortable shirt and definitely heavy. I couldn't see my nips through the shirt which is the norm with thinner t-shirts of today.

Good item with a deep pocket (which is why I wanted it), but it didn't smell too sweet on arrival and needed washing, whereupon a lot of dye came off (I'm glad I hand-washed it).

Also, always order a size below what you would normally order as it's quite voluminous.

The medium shirt I ordered fits as a large, people claiming it is true to size are crazy, I've never had a medium shirt fit like this. The length of the shirt is way too long, the sleeves almost go past my elbow and for a fit that they claim is "a closer fit to the body built for work" it is quite baggy. Maybe they are designed for big boned people (the brand is American so makes sense).

Slightly thicker material than other plain white t shirts that we've got my hubby from other shops which was a bonus, it's clearly a good quality product and he said it's really comfortable to wear. Looks really nice on and it also washed up really well and dried without twisting, shrinking etc. Dried it on a clothes horse and it didn't even need ironing. Wahay! Would thoroughly recommend.
