Set of 6 coasters made of silicone, shaped a bit like an abstract sakura (cherry) blossom and coloured in pink. Each coaster is individually wrapped.
I am an ardent coaster lover and always have been. Whether it is a cup and saucer, a mug, a glass, it always has to be placed on a coaster to protect the surface beneath. I even look for a coaster if I go visiting - yes, I know, people think I'm insane or some abandoned relic from "Friends" but I like coasters and I expect to see them out.
I was attracted to this set because I liked the shape and the pink colour seemed a bit different to usual. I wasn't disappointed. This is an excellent set. Non-slip silicone, yes, with the design in layers on top of the base - pink border, outer "leaves" clear with little flowers stuck on, inner flower petals a strong pink. The seller's display pictures are clearly far too bright, the pink colour looks wishy washy, but when you see these coasters for real (refer to my own pictures) the pink colour is darker and more to my liking. There is a "glitter" embellishment but it is barely noticeable, so don't let that put you off if you don't want it - I doubt if you will ever see it.
Priced at £16.98 at the time of this review I find that to be extraordinarily hight BUT if this is what you want then price will not matter. Horses for courses, as the saying goes. I, for one, would never have ordered these at the asking price so I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to review them BUT - yes, another "but" - after examining these and placing them about my home I am pleased with the quality, the appearance and... I like them. Now I just know I am going to have to buy a second set for my daughter otherwise they will "disappear" when she next visits.
A bit of style, a bit of quality, a splash of colour, a conversation piece... nice items and I can certainly recommend them.
