I have several similar biking shorts I bought in the US, which I absolutely love, so when I went to purchase in Canada, it was a no brainer to buy this brand again. The same size, but not the same style as I previously purchased, and I can barely squeeze into these new ones. Not sure why there is such a size difference between countries, and vey sad I was not able to get the same style I had purchased on amazon.com

I just received this product today so my review is based on one day of wearing and workout. I am 5'5 and weigh 245lbs, I purchased a 8" 3xl in charcoal. As you can see in the pictures the pants reach just above my knee. They go as high as my belly button but for my butt it is not as high as I wanted it but you cant blame the pants I have a bigger backside. I worked out for about an hour doing interval training and every so often I did have to pull them up a bit, nothing too drastic though. The material is 55% cotton so please note if you sweat a lot it may show.

Comfy & Perfect Length to Avoid Thigh Rubbing

I'm 5' 2" and 205 lbs and I bought a 3X of the 5" in black. It fits great - probably a half size larger than I needed, but it makes it waaaay more comfortable! Because mine were not super tight they also don't offer the "slimming effect" a more snug fit might. But for me, it makes it great for walking and working out. I'm fairly short, so the 5" length was perfect for avoiding "inner thigh rub", which may not be the case for a taller person with longer legs. The pockets are perfect for my cell phone and other accessories. I like where the high waist lands on me because it's very comfortable.

I purchased these yoga shorts for wearing under dresses (especially dresses that lack pockets). Overall, I'm happy with them. They definitely provide tummy control, and they're snug but not uncomfortably so. As other reviewers have suggested, size up! For reference, I am 5'6", 230 pounds, and typically a women's size 18/20 or XL. I read lots of reviews saying that these run small, so I ordered a XXXL. I have never purchased size XXXL in anything, but I'm happy that I did for these shorts. If you're thinking about buying these, I urge you size up at least one size but maybe even two sizes like I did. Also worth noting, the material is on the thicker side. This is a good thing because it means the shorts aren't see through if you're in a room full of people and wearing them for their intended purpose of yoga/exercize, but I expect they might be a tad warmer under a dress than other similar shorts/leggings. Just something to be aware of. Ultimately, these provide the coverage and support I was looking for and I'll probably be buying more of them in the future.

Fabric is see through and too light to provide tummy control

For reference, I'm 5'3", 140 lbs, 33" waist. Going by the waist sizes on their chart, I should be an XL. I wanted a snug fit, but I didn't want to have a giant muffin top or pinched thighs. Since these are listed as "compression" and "tummy control" I ordered one size up (2XL). It turns out, they give a range for the waist size, and the small number is the UNSTRETCHED size of the shorts. Beyond that, this fabric is too light-weight to provide any sort of compression, even if I ordered a size smaller. If you get a small enough size to create compression and tummy control, THEY WILL BE SEE-THROUGH!

So if you're looking for light-weight, breathable, not too tight shorts, these are great. If you are looking for something to hold your tummy in while you work out, buy a size smaller, and just know nothing will be private.

I have I think 3 pairs in this brand now I just keep buying more because there so functional. I initially purchased during prime day on a deal and only grabbed one pair, and when I went to buy more I couldn’t get the same ones any longer. I bought the 5 inch inseam specifically for under skirts and dresses but I wear them with tees and tank tops too (normally I wear spanx or jockey slip shorts, or other similar products even biker shorts under my dresses and skirts.) These offer a pocket under dresses that don’t have one. When I go to the farmers market or doing other summer errands, I just pull my dress up on the side and grab my phone out of the pocket. I also bought the longer 8 inch inseam ones and I wore them to a summer festival, a little long for my liking but they worked okay there good when I’m doing a lot of walking and stuff, I ended up getting the 5 inch buttery soft ones. I expected more of a legging material it’s thicker but flexible. I probably could do a 2XL or a 3XL, I think I’m between sizes but I’ve always bought 3xl I normally wear an 18 or a 20 in jeans or a 19 or 21 or 2XL-3XL in juniors sizes.

Love these 5 inch shorts! It's hard to find plus size workout shorts with pockets and that aren't too long. I'm not a big fan of the 9 inch inseam bike shorts. I'm currently a 22/24 and got a 3X. They're snug, but not unbearably tight. I'm in the process of losing weight so since they are snug, I can lose more weight and they'll still fit. They seem like great quality. Love that there's a pocket on each side, too.

Don't waste your money.

Hated every second of having these shorts on. The shorts had almost no stretch and we're NOT flattering. Instant cameltoe and the seams were not stretchy and dug into my skin. I ordered a 3XL and they fit like a large. Mind you, my average legging and bike short size is usually XL/1x or 16/18 because I have wide hips and thigh meat with a flatter stomach. The pockets are also shallow AF and poorly placed, so I would 100% not recommend putting anything of value in them. I don't understand the hype with these, they're uncomfortable. For the 2 minutes I had them on it felt like I was about to start sweating. Avoid!!
