GREAT VALUE SMART GOLF TROUSERS

These trousers are shower proof, wind resistant and hold their shape. I have regularly paid twice this price for golf trousers that wear out within a season, are prone to seams opening around pockets and generally disappoint. I bought the first pair of these trousers when the first lockdown ended and our course reopened. Worn for golf 2 or three times a week all summer and not a sign of anything wrong. Good enough to wear casually when on holiday and walking. Now have three pairs and recommend recommend them to anyone.

Good value – but beware

These are good value - perhaps very good value depending on what you're looking for. I can't really complain but was nevertheless slightly disappointed. The reason being that one of the selling points for me was that these were polyester – so I presumed somewhat breathable- compared to heavy cotton "chino type" trousers. However, that's exactly what they look and feel like that - so a lot heavier than modern golf pants. Having said that they are comfortable and well made – and one might be glad of them on colder days. However based on the limited wear I've given them so far I would expect they would become quite uncomfortable on a warm summers day. Padraig Harrington has his own brand of golf clothing, exclusive to an Irish Department store. I happened to be in one today and noticed that his trouser option were practically identical to these in design, material and quality (could well have come from the same ultimate manufacturer/supplier?) - but they were €40 – so can't complain about the value for money here.

Looking ahead to autumn and winter, wanting wind and showerproof trousers, I've bought a pair of these.

I was pleasantly surprised with the fit, especially the shorter leg length. Waist size and leg length as advertised which means the trouser bottoms won't be dragging in the winter muck! I've worn them for a few rounds now and they are comfortable and certainly don't let the wind through. No chafing when swinging a golf club and good pockets. Beware the back pocket that buttons if you keep your phone there and it has a protective case. Mine was scuffed by the button just where the camera window was and I'll need to replace the case as the camera is now blurring pictures at the scuff mark.

I've also given them a wash and iron and they wash well and iron up nicely.

Just about to buy another couple of pairs as they'll be good for walking and gardening through the coming winter.

They may not be Callaway under armour or any other top brand and I've had top brands before they never fit like these excellent

It is a very basic product. The trousers are pretty shapeless but for under £25, it I guess I should have expected that. A bit saggy and baggy after no time at all.
Won’t be buying any more of these items.

Son likes the material, which is not too thick & feels soft. Nice grey colour. He is a stockier build so straight leg gives him good manoeuvrability. Great to wash with minimum ironing keeping them smart looking for longer. Excellent price & look far more expensive than price paid.

I found these and a few other Amazon Essential golf items a bit by chance ... found the trousers, shorts and polos very well made and excellent value. Looks good on the course and means you can buy a few more than other 'golf' brands. Good purchases.

Seems to me every bit as good as some golf-branded trousers costing twice as much. Used them couple of months now and see no downside to them at all - presuming you are the type that doesn't feel need to be a walking billboard for one of the major golf brands.
