i tend to get through a few of these and was getting fed up with replacing them so thought i would try this one and its so much better than any i have brought before. its more pliable and hopefully no cracks.

The bottom you need to first get the lip at the back inserted in the gap below the hinge before you click the rest of the bottom case on, otherwise you won't get anywhere trying to get the back part in if you already have put the rest of the bottom on.

The top part, at first glance may look like it goes on whichever way, but you do need to put it on a specific way for the edges to match with how the edges are on the bottom, such as the lip for at the front where you open and close the MacBook. This could do with being made clearer to people with a piece of paper or something to show the way you put it.

The bottom grills it would of been nice if they didn't include seeing some users say this is specifically for the M1 MacBook Air, which doesn't have the grills the previous generations have. Not a biggie though.

Regarding using the MacBook with the case, the added thickness plus the plastic makes it that bit easier to open the lid rather than the thin cold aluminium of the MacBook which is a little hard to get a grip of at times.

The feet on the bottom also are nice that you know you're not going to be scratching the MacBook when putting it down on a surface, especially when said surface isn't completely smooth or clean etc.

It is a very comfortable case, and is brilliant at protecting the aluminium from scratches, dust and finger prints. Definitely recommended for literally anyone who feels not that confident with an unprotected expensive aluminium laptop.

We just got a new Air 13” for work. At around £1000, this is something that you will want to look after. The aluminium casing on the laptop is beautiful, but these computers can and will scratch. Enter this protective case. It’s clear, thin and lightweight. There is a black band around the edges which I’m not that keen on. I wish it didn’t have it.

To fit it, there are relatively clear instructions on the box. The one thing that the instructions do miss though, is which way round to fit the lid protector. One of the longer edges has a notch cut out of it. This needs to run along the opening edge of the lid and not the hinged edge. Apart from this, it’s easy to fit and everything clicks into place as it should. One slight annoyance of mine is that you can see any dust that gets trapped under the case. Try to ensure that you are in a dust free environment and that you give everything a good wipe down before fitting if you want a dust free look. Having said this, it doesn’t really matter what you do, as a few days in with a similar case and it seems that dust manages to find its way under the cover from around the edges.

Remember that the case, will only cover the top of the lid and the underside of the main body. The screen and the trackpad area are not protected. That aside, I’m pleased with this case and am pleased that I’ve got an element of protection in place.

Please note this only fits the latest 2020 M1 chip MacBook Airs and not the earlier Intel CPU models.
This case is made of a hard, translucent plastic with black plastic edges that incorporate the clips to hold the base and bottom parts on. I am not sure the vents on the bottom are really needed as the M1 MacBook’s run pretty cool in use and have no cooling vents anyway. Nice to have I guess. The case is well packaged and wrapped in cellophane to protect the parts in transit.

Installation was a tad fiddly; you must make sure that the black clips are firmly pushed onto the base and lid. The base is easy to work out which was round it goes as the port cut-out dictates that. The lid part less so, but for reference the side with a clip at the centre fits to the top of the MacBook lid.

The instructions are basic and printed on the revers of the book by means of a series of pictures. The whole thing seems to fit well once each side is clipped on properly but I feel that the clips don’t hold on very tightly.

Compared to the price of some hard cases, this is quite a good price and would get 5 stars if I had a bit more confidence in the fixings. Time will tell and I will update this and my score if there are any issues over time.

This case has a nice sleek look and does the job at protecting my MacBook Air from scratches or other damage.

The case is only compatible with MacBook Air 13 inch. It's easy to put on and take off thanks to the soft TPU edge. The PC plastic cover completely encases the MacBook, providing all-around protection against daily wear and tear. Also, to thoroughly ventilate the bottom, the bottom grille is hollowed out to match the chassis heat dissipation holes. Furthermore, the case's frosted surface repels fingerprint marks and is simple to clean.

It is simple to put together. When it's time to clean it, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. In a heated climate, do not use continuously and to keep it safe, avoid overexposure to the sun.

I got this for my MacBook and got to say I’m super impressed with it. The case has a simple frosted texture and fully wraps my whole MacBook providing excellent protection when I am travelling to different meetings.

Overall, for the price of £19.98 I think it's a pretty solid case, that does the job well. Happy to recommend it.

The HardShell is a two individual piece snap on case for the MacBook Air (2020).
It is easy to put on, but may require a little fiddling to ensure a snug fit around the edges of your machine.
With its frosted coating it offers durable protection from knocks and scratches to the top and bottom of your machine. It also has vents to aid cooling on the bottom of the case. It is functional rather than fashionable and for those who prize protection more than admiring looks. Although the casing is light it does add some noticeable overall weight to the sleek MacBook Air - making it feel more like a chunky MacBook Pro when held in the hand.

It should be noted that those who are looking to add accessories to expand the existing ports need to choose carefully. Although the casing keeps the ports clear, accessories that are required to align tightly to the ports and fit snuggly down the side of your machine may be impeded by the case.

Overall it does what it says on the tin and should offer long term protection.

So happy with this cover. My old cover cracked and was looking for a new one, and I wanted something that would compliment the flawless design of my Mac but I couldn't find one. When I saw this one, I immediately placed an order. It's not opaque like others, but is a "frosted glass" effect and it's actually see-through, so I can see my Mac through it. With the black edges it looks super nice!

The cover itself comes packaged in a cardboard box and wrapped securely in plastic film. In order to keep the cover in shape, you will also find a piece of plastic sandwiched inbetween the back and top cover. Very nice - I like the fact that the manufacturer wants to ensure their product reaches you in immaculate condition.

It was easy to put on and it's a PERFECT FIT. Absolutely no gaps whatsoever. The material is nice to touch and is of high quality - I've used this cover DAILY for over a month now and it still looks brand new.

Overall a great product. GO GET IT!

After doing a lot of reading of covers. I was hesitant. Most describe issues with getting alinement right and fitting these. they sound fiddle and also appear to be a pain to remove ( if need be). This simply clips into place and works. Very easy. The Mac Book works as normal. it can be equally clipped off if needed It doesn't put the screen under any pressure ( something I was worried about). Easy peasy. Recommended.

I love this hard shell case that fits my new computer beautifully. I have the rose laptop and the frosted top makes it look really nice as well as protecting it if you accidentally place something on top. It is in two parts top and bottom and each is frosted with dark surround. While the top is plain the bottom has 2 ridged bars horizontally on it.
