Default choice of shoes

My son (9y) simply loves these shoes and would wear no others. We ordered 2.5 UK and they fit quite well. They are firm enough to support and protect his feet, at the same time allowing plenty of movement. The double stretch feature is handy and saves time.
The shoes arrived swiftly and in the original Geox package.
It is our third pair and they never disappoint, we just increase the size and the shoes shopping dilemma is solved for another couple of months.

These have fallen apart within 4 weeks of my son wearing them to school. I'm so disappointed as I bought the same pair from a local shoe shop last year and they lasted him for a whole school year. They have worn awful and the glue is coming off of the sole!

I wish I had taken on board the negative feedback! I had high hopes with the lovely design, durable look, feel, and most importantly that these shoes are suitable for wide feet what with the removable insole in order to add more depth as my son has not only wide feet but a very high instep too.
Unfortunately after only 10 weeks, (9 excluding the half term) my son complained of his toes getting wet and lo and behold there are holes in the fronts of both shoes by the outer soles. I find it shocking as I expected the quality to at least be on par with Clarks shoe quality. Also, my son is not particularly rough/destructive with his school shoe usage so I'm very disappointed to say the least!

Poor design for British Weather

These shoes looked amazing when they arrived. Sturdy, with a decent grip and had my child excited. 2 month later the stitching as come apart from the sides and water is coming through the sole.

The shoes have ventilation holes in the sole which lets water in. The leather insole gets moldy because of the water. A perfectly good shoe with a bad design choice for the ventilation holes. Not suited for British Weather.

Update:
I had to resort to gluing the holes that are on the soles. This has stopped water getting inside.

Sturdy, smart and comfortable - even for a football loving school boy!

I bought these as school shoes for my 6 year old as he had already gone through several pairs. The first pair we received had a problem with the seam, but Amazon swiftly organised a replacement and these have proved to be his best wearing pair of trainers so far.

Positives:
1. They are sturdy with a well reinforced toe - essential for playing football and lots of kneeling on the carpet.
2. They are breathable with the airvents in the sole so feet don't get too sweaty - I was initially worried when I saw these thinking they would never stand up against the frequent puddles encountered on the school run, but we haven't had any wet feet yet.
3. They look smart and easily pass as school shoes.
4. They are comfortable whilst being supportive.
5. They clean up well.

Negatives
Can't really think of any. We had a problem as mentioned above with the first pair (hense 4 stars instead of 5) but the replacement shoes have been fine.

Overall an ideal pair of school shoes for an active boy.

I am very impressed by these and find they are an ideal style for my football loving son. The added piece on the front acts as a shield against any unwanted scratches and scuffs. The soles have excellent grip. This is actually the third pair of these I have bought; he has been having the same shoes for a while now. Each time he has had a new pair it has been because he has grown out of them, not because they have worn out. The last pair he had lasted him an entire school year, which I believe is very good value for money. He finds them comfortable and they are easy to clean. They are everything that you need in a pair of school shoes!

I would never buy another style of school shoe for either of my boys. I've been buying these year after year and have never been disappointed, they have so much rubber on the front of the shoe and on the sole that they last ages. In fact these are the only pair of shoes that have lasted my son nearly a full school year......they were paper thin by the end, but had endured everything that other shoes can't manage. Good tip, as I buy these every year for both my sons I constantly have them in my basket, under saved for later, the price changes all the time so whenever they are reduced I stock up (just bought the last pair for £18!)
Would definitely recommend these shoes, especially for an active child.

My son loves these shoes. This is the 3rd pair I have ordered as they seem to last the whole year! My son used to go through a pair of shoes so quickly and I was paying out so much money, until I found Geox. The first pair I bought were so hard wearing that I even bought a pair of trainers of the same brand. I've only had to buy more because my sons feet grew! They are well worth the money. Next time he needs new shoes, I will definitely buy Geox.

Dreadful, uppers falling to pieces within 2 months

I bought these for my son at the end of January, they were really stiff at first and caused blisters, but we’re comfortable once worn in. My son loves them but I am incredibly disappointed. He has worn them only at school and already the uppers have split badly in both shoes. I bought them because they are supposed to be durable but they haven’t stood ip to the most basic wear. I am very cross that the returns is one month after purchase. I am always happy to pay more for quality but these are dreadful.

Excellent pair of shoes, robust and sturdy. I realy object to them being descrived as boys' shoes, they are unisex and better and more appropiate to winter than all the light Mary-Janes that populate girls' shoes section. Can't talk about durability yet.
