I run 40 miles a week and bought into the Saucony line by recommendation. These things are great for Tempo and speed work as well as long easy runs. I use the Pro's to race in but only because I like to keep a rotation going.

The nylon plate is snappy and gives you a good spring off the forefoot. The cushioning is very soft but not particularly stable. You do, however, get used to this quite quickly. Cornering, for me at least, is a bit of an art in these. Primarily due to the stack height.

Great shoe and the lockdown is good.

Fast, but take your time with them

Fast, very fast. My first run felt poor, and yet I still ran just behind tempo I was like wth?! Turns out I'm not the only one, to have found this shoe to be fast.
But I had excruciating toe pain, after I ripped out the insole, it alleviated it.
Put in one that I felt would work, and pulled off just shy of a half marathon without much bother.
They're very much a marmite trainer, but stick with them and you might be surprised.

Have only been out a few runs to break them in but these shoes are every bit as good as the soeed 1 if not better. Can’t fault them except the high price tag. I’ve run 570 miles in my first pair of speed 1’s and still plenty of life in them yet so hopefully these will last the same.

Aunque llevo ya muchísimos años corriendo, y haciendo bastantes kilómetros cada año, probando varios modelos de zapatillas al año, creo que las zapatillas nunca han evolucionado tan rápido como lo han hecho en los últimos años, sobre todo a raíz de la presentación de los primeros modelos de Nike con placa de carbono.
Con todo el revuelo de las zapatillas con placa de carbono, la verdad es que me animé a probar unas zapatillas con placa para correr mi última maratón, pero en el proceso de búsqueda, leí bastantes opiniones y acabé convencido de que no necesitaba unas zapatillas con placa de carbono (en general bastante mas inestables), y este modelo de Saucony con placa de nylon sería suficiente para mis ritmos en distancias largas (un poco por debajo de 5 min/km en distancias de media, y en torno a esos 5 min/km en maratón).
La verdad es que no puedo estar mas contento con estas zapatillas, no son tan estables como me gustarían, pero todas las revisiones aseguran que son sustancialmente mas estables que las zapatillas con placa de carbono, sin embargo, son ligeras, y rápidas, al menos para mis ritmos. Entre la ligereza y la ayuda de la placa de nylon, la verdad es que se nota la ayuda en las series rápidas, y me dieron muy buen resultado en la maratón. A nivel muscular, por ejemplo, al día siguiente apenas si tenia agujetas.
A destacar que soy un corredor bastante ligero (sobre 62 kg) y además de no necesitar las placas de carbono por mis ritmos, dudo que tuviera la suficiente potencia para “domarlas”.
Después de la primera maratón, he seguido haciendo kms con ellas, y la verdad es que con unos 200 kms encima, están impecables, no se los kilómetros que aguantarán, pero parece que bastante mas de los 200-300 kms que les dan a zapatillas de competición con placa de carbono.
En cuanto al tallaje, aunque en muchos sitios recomiendan ½ talla mas de la habitual, en mi caso, la talla habitual me queda perfecta.
En fin, creo que me he alargado mas de la cuenta, pero si estás pensando en unas zapatillas con placa de carbono para mejorar tus marcas, te animaría a que leyeras alguna (o varias) revisiones de estas zapatillas de Saucony, y analices tus ritmos, es posible que con estas zapatillas tengas mas que suficiente, y de paso, consigas unas zapatillas mas estables, duraderas, y sustancialmente mas baratas.

Attenzione al numero,calza un mezzo numero più stretto rispetto a nike o asics . Però mamma mia che scarpe ragazzi : fino a 4’30 al km sono leggere e ben ammortizzate ma non hanno altri pregi , sotto i 4’ al km cambiano faccia e ti mostrano una spinta mai vista . Scendendo sotto i 3’45” sono dei trampolini a patto di essere performante nella biomeccanica del corpo . A 3’30” … mi fermo io ahahahahahha . Comunque ottime scarpe ad un prezzo accettabile (125€) base di lancio per le mie prossime scarpe che saranno le … endorphine 3 .
