Sometimes garments that are eco-friendly and made with recycled fibres are a bit cardboard-y and shapeless, all very worthy but a bit basic. This Amazon Aware Crewneck Fleece Sweatshirt (and a couple of other items from the range I've tried) are the opposite of that and the quality is really excellent and you'd never guess there was 45% recycled polyester in here. The other 55% is organic cotton and so the hoodie is quite thick and very cosy with an exceptionally soft fleece lining and despite the thickness of the fabric it's very soft and flexible and not at all cardboard-y or synthetic-feeling.

The fit is about right across the shoulders and chest and the sleeves are a good length (I have long arms and notice these things) but it's not that long in the body and it's loose around the waist. The baggy waist is also because the waistband around the bottom isn't very elasticated and doesn't pull the waist tight to the body. I chose the White, which is really a pale cream colour (more creamy coloured than the photo's show) and the first time I wore it I spilled carrot and butternut squash soup down the front. Luckily it launders easily and mine didn't shrink or lose shape after a 30°C wash, line dry and ten minutes in the dryer to fluff it all up again. Admittedly I had to work quite hard with a stain remover to get the carrot soup stain out first but thankfully it worked. Apart from a seam running down the spine on the back it's a very plain style but sometimes that's what you want and the quality is certainly there to justify the price. Good to know it's doing less harm to the environment too.

This is the second garment my husband has tried from the Amazon Aware Range. The sweatshirt is finished to a good standard with all stitching straight and uniform and all seams overlocked. One thing different of both the design of tshirt and this sweatshirt is that the back of the garment is in two pieces (something not in any designs already owned) which doesn't detract from the comfort or look - just different.

My husband chose the olive green colour and it is as shown on the product page. The sweatshirt is 55% organic cotton, 45% recycled polyester and 3% elastain. He chose a size xl where he would normally choose a large just in case of shrinkage. The quality of the material is excellent, a good thickness and my husband is very pleased with the relaxed fit, feel of the material next to his skin and overall look which is smart casual with his jeans. The fleece effect on the inside gives extra warmth. Whilst he loves the colour, look and feel of the garment and even with the ethical credentials this is slightly too high in price at £32.99 at the time of review as he has sweatshirts of a comparable standard that cost less, and for that it loses a star. Label recommends a 30 degree wash but on the product page a cold wash is recommended so that needs sorting. I personally will wash this at 30 degrees as I do with all our tshirts. If it causes a problem I will amend my review.

I ordered the XL shirt, since I normally take a 17.5 inch collar in shirts, and XL normally fits me fine. The proportions on this garment though I found to be a little off. the shoulders and chest fit fine, but the tum was a bit snug, so it looked like I had a pillow stuffed down the front of my jumper! Also, the sleeves are WAY long - the bottom of the cuff reaches my finger tips so I had to roll it back three inches to get a proper fit. That, in conjunction with the short body, makes a for an "interesting" look. The other oddity was a seam running up the centre of the back, which is a unique (and odd) feature - really didn't understand why that seam exists.

The material is warm and comfortable and the "tan" colour is very pleasant (it's what used to be called "old gold" in as much as it's closer to yellow than brown, but terms for colours are always evolving).

I'll be wearing this for doing around the garden, but I wouldn't order another from this range because of the "fit" issues.

While I’ve previously tried and been impressed by a number of different items from the Amazon Find, I hadn’t until these items tried anything from their Amazon Aware clothing options. With promises to offer fashionable items in more eco friendly ways, I was intrigued to see if any compromises had to be made to achieve these advantages.

This jumper is a very on trend olive green colour and maintains a crew neck. Fit wise it is quite short but also wide across the shoulders, so you may want to size down if you prefer a tighter fit but are not too tall. The material is soft, fleece on the inside and seems like it is of high quality, with the seams neither too itchy nor looking like they are going to fall apart. It feels like it would be relatively warm too.

This is then overall a pretty solid example of a basic item - there clearly haven’t been too many compromises made for style and comfort to achieve what is something I am hoping I will be wearing for a while.

I am not a man of high fashion and would walk out of the house wearing a twenty year old piece of clothing if my partner did not secretly give my old clothes away while they still have some life in them. This 'Amazon Aware Men's Crewneck Fleece Sweatshirt' could have been made for me as it is a very vanilla jumper that does what is says on the label and not much more.

I choice the nice green colour and it fits well. It is a standard jumper that has little style but is warm and comfortable. I am a larger person and quite boxy, so the simple cut of this jumper does not help me as I look even bigger. A smaller size on a smaller person would work better. The fit means that it actually works better as an oversized top for my partner. I also have a similar top to this with a zip at the neck and better cut, this makes for a better option, whilst still not being overly flamboyant.

This is a very good quality sweatshirt, and as good as I have come to expect from Amazon own brand.

The garment is super soft, lovely fleecy inner, with the outer being beautifully finished and soft. Waist and sleeve ribbing is real quality, as is the neckline, with good attention to detail, and nice neat stitching etc.

There is a choice of 5 x different colours, my selected being Navy, and looks very nice, with a nice kind of centre seam at the back. Although absolutely nothing wrong with this, it’s good quality, but rather bland styling.

Sizing is spot on, Medium is as I expected, and how this size normally comes up.

Overall, this is good quality, but only 55% cotton (plus 45% polyester). For the price, I’d expect a higher (if not 100%) cotton content. Nice though, all the same.

The fabric is soft; the inner material feels fleece, perfect for the weather when it's too hot for a jacket/coat but too cold for just a shirt. The garment is warm but not warm enough for winter; you would need a jacket on top for cold winter days.

I usually wear size S. This fits perfectly in length and on the body. However, I found it a little bit tight in the underarm when I have a thicker T-shirt underneath; M would be fine.

The stitches are neat and clean; it washes well, too, without shrinkage or loose colour. I like the line in the middle at the back.

As lovely as this is, the quality is good; however, it's a bit overpriced for what it is at £32.99 ( on 11/05/2022 for size S).

This is the Amazon Aware Store Men's Crewneck Fleece Sweatshirt , 55% Cotton, 45% Recycled Polyester, Available In Sizes XXS-3XL And Colours Black, Navy, Olive, Tan or White.

This is the new Climate Pledge Friendly brand from Amazon, basically everyday essentials using minimal carbon footprints. This item is a solid sweatshirt in Black, cuffs n neck are stretchy ribbed, machine washable at 30° and tumble dry safe. The fabric is thick n fleecey, but very lightweight and really comfy.
I found this product came up larger than usual, this XL would fit a good 48 to 52 inch easily.

Overall I'd recommend thid sweatshirt albeit be the wrong side of £30, as you can get branded items cheaper...

It's comfortable with a nice soft inner fleece like lining. The material on the outside feels nice and soft, too. You have about 3 inches of stretchy material around the cuffs and the same material is on the collar. For the most part it's a snug, close fit and doesn't appear to be baggy at all. This is from Amazon's line of clothing that is produced from environmentally sourced materials and a carbon-neutral manufacturing process ... and yet the sweatshirt has no compromises.

A bit more of an urban fashionable style -- not really an "athletic" style. I think it is an excellent quality sweatshirt and it's great that it was responsibly made and still at an affordable price. If you like the style, I think you'll be happy with it.

You can look good and feel good when you buy this crewneck fleece sweatshirt from Amazon Aware. Made in Vietnam with 55% cotton and 45% recycled polyester, it’s certified carbon neutral and made with organic materials, so it’s good for the planet as well as looking good on you.

The sizes are quite generous; the medium states that the chest is 38” - 40” but the M sweatshirt I received measures 42”. It’s the perfect fit for a usual medium size though.

It has a seam down the back which initially raised eyebrows but it looks good when it’s worn and makes it a unique feature of an Amazon Aware item.

Good quality, good fit and good for the planet. An easy 5 stars!
