Lacking in heel impact cushioning, but OK
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 March 2020
I put these to the test the moment they arrived. They are very light weight and are comfortable to walk and run, but the cushioning in the heel is not the best for a road shoe. The mesh front allows good air flow, but the trade off is that they will allow rain and any splashed water to get in. The sole gives good grip on most surfaces, but not so much if running across wet mud, but to be fair they are not cross country shoes. I have clocked up around 30km up to now and they are holding up well. No blisters or soreness. The heel cushioning hasn’t become a problem as yet, but I do wonder how long it will take before they flatten out. I don’t expect these to last for too long as is the case with most road shoes. Depending on my regime and quality of shoe, I can get through a pair in around 6 to 8 months. I am a little doubtful if I will get the same with these before the heel tread or cushioning wears out, but I will see how it goes.
So far, they are OK shoes, but not good value for money. My size were £62 which I don’t think is worth it and I know I could get better shoes for that price. However, time will tell, and I will report back if anything changes.
In respect of sizing, mine were about right, maybe a fraction bigger.
