Good value and comfortable

I needed some waterproof shoes for winter gardening and these fit the bill.
My shoe size is 11 but I have wide feet so as a precaution I ordered size 12. This was a good move because they are a perfect and comfortable fit. Size 11 would have definitely been too tight.
The soles and heels have a ridged tread which should provide some grip on soft ground. However, these are plastic shoes and there is potential to slip on hard wet surfaces. This is the only reason I have marked them down slightly.
My previous Dunlop shoes fell apart at the seams after only a few months, so it will be interesting to see how well these wear in the longer term. First impressions are good.
*** Just an update after several months of wet winter wear in the garden - I am very pleased with the shoes which are wearing well. No leakage and still very comfortable. One of the shoe liners started to ruck, but that was easily fixed before it got too bad with a good coating of glue and it now remains firmly in place. I would certainly buy these again - very much better than my previous Dunlops which were poorly constructed.

They were well undersized. I have not ever had trouble with sizing before. But I could not even get my foot in the top of these garden boots. So trying them on was impossible, and being garden boots you would have thought they would be more generous than normal boots in case you wanted to wear a pair of socks. Most disappointed and more so because it was deemed my fault for ordering the wrong size. BIG SMILE. I had to pay the postage to return the boots, whish cost half as much as the boots I re-turned. Certainly will not use seller again. Brusher.

Lining came out after a few weeks - and they're not waterproof!

First, the good: These are pretty sturdy, and the elasticated top means they fit well and are really easy to get on and off.

But the bad stuff is really annoying. The inside lining came off within weeks. Every time you take them off, the lining comes out. You have to push it back in every time. That is REALLY annoying.

And they're not properly waterproof. I've washed the underneath and got water around the outside - and then when I've put them on later, the inside is soggy and wet. It took quite a lot of water (they were REALLY muddy underneath) - but if shoes are waterproof, you should be able to wash the underside without the water going in through the seams.

There are a few different types of shoes like this, and these are probably the best - but be aware that they're also annoying and they get wet!

Used for walking the dog, light gardening and going into the chicken run to get eggs. Easier to put on that wellies, comfortable, still waterproof (2 months in). I bought a size larger (12) and don't regret it as easier to put on although I could probably have got away with my size 10.5. Not the most stylish shoe in the world but very practical. The insoles DO come loose after a while so a bit of glue advisable

Recently measured at Clarks I'm 11 and 1/2 standard fit. The 'Dirt Boot' was much too loose in a 12, as well a bit too narrow across the balls/toes. These are very slightly shorter than ideal but otherwise fit perfectly and the fabric fits snugly around my ankle. The other brand was loose around there. I'm happy with these but it depends on the size and shape of your feet. Good value if they fit right, Royal Mail quick delivery too.

Firstly I do agree that you really need to go a size up from usual...I’m normally a 9 / 9.5 and the 10 fits perfectly. There is a fabric layer round the top and it’s obvious on the pictures so amazingly get too involved with water and it will penetrate. I loathe gardening but I imagine it’s fine for that and for chucking on for walking the pooch in a damp field or on the beach it’s fine. The bottom lining does come out (especially if you go sock free) but they’re fine without that anyway

This product was for my husband who had an annoying habit of doing the gardening in any of his good shoes which he happened to be wearing at the time. These are so easy for him to put on and take off which encourages him to wear them and saves me having to wash muddy floors yet again. So, not just five stars from him, but another five from me! The best place to wear these is the bin
Should carry a health warning

Great footwear but need two sizes up from usual size

The shoes are extremely comfortable and easy to pull on and off. Marvellous for chicken run mucking out. Far more comfortable than wellies. However, they are extremely small for the quoted size. Ordering a size larger than normal having read some reviews, I had to return a size 9 for a size 10. I usually take a size 8!

I bought similar ones to these at over double the price. They are virtually identical. Only thing to watch is that for me at size 9 the sizing came in a bit tight. It’s rare for a size 9 not to fit me. I have ordered a size 10 and that’s fine. My feet are not wide.
