Fantastic!

These were bought as an ITU nurse who’s department had to relocate to theatre during COVID to expand & having no experience in purchasing clogs / will only wear during this time I was reluctant to spend much money but being busy & on my feet for 12 hours needed comfort & these little beauties ticked every box!! I have recommended them to everyone!! Fantastic value for money, they are slightly big made but I had read that in reviews so as someone who is a 5.5 and would normally size up I sized down to a 5 & they fit perfect with a bit of room. If you do have slim made feet though they might be just too broad ~ but for me they were great. They have been worn every shift & feet still comfy at the end & still look perfect despite being cleaned down with alcohol wipes several times a shift!

Not what I expected.

These were billed as gardening clogs - For the price, I expects something more robust but they are the same blown vinyl pseudo-crocs you can get for a couple of quid from Aldi or Lidl - they are useless if you are wanting to use a spade or for any level of protection from gardening implements. They fit fine and as something for just a quick trip to the bins or for sitting out in the garden, they're fine but they need a more substantial sole for any substantive gardening work. Disappointed but will keep them for other purposes.

My old clogs were well past their sell-by date so decided to treat myself to a new pair of harden clogs; my requirements were that they should be lightweight, strong, washable and a good/comfortable fit. After perusing what was on offer out there on the market, I plumped for a pair of dark blue, Lakeland Active Lorton Garden Clogs. Ordering and delivery process was fine. As soon as they arrived, the weather was nice and were unpacked, on my feet and out in the garden very quickly! Just what I wanted and wished for so very, very pleased.

The clogs themselves are fine - just what I wanted. The insoles aren't fixed in and come out easily, so I had to fix them in with some double-sided tape. That stopped them moving but they now make interesting farting sounds when I walk. Not really a problem, though.

These pretty little clogs are incredible light and are easy to slip on even with a slightly thicker sock. I bought them for nipping out into the garden to snip some herbs/ fetch in washing etc to save getting indoor shoes wet and muddy. They are supposed to be non-slip but It’s been too dry lately to test that claim hence only four stars as the soles don’t look especially “grippy”. They would work equally well as indoor shoes or to take on holiday as weigh next to nothing. So far, I am very pleased with them.

I love the comfort and fit of these clogs. They look good, are perfect for nipping out into the garden or to the kerb, and are so easy to wipe or rinse clean. I not sure how long they will last as they are made from quite lightweight expanded foam/plastic, but if they only last 6 months they're excellent value for the very reasonable rpice.

Easy to slip on and off

Good replacement for my old worn garden clogs. I am a size 6, (39) these say (40) on the sole. I ordered the size 6 from the size options. Perfect fit to be able to wear cosy socks with them. These I use for hanging out washing and doing little outdoor jobs so are a must in my life now. I checked my old ones and realised how unsafe they were due to the worn soles - uppers still look good. They are in the bin now! And 10 months later - these 'new' ones are about to follow. Vexed that they haven't lasted very long.

Externally smaller than Briers size 10

Apart from the chestnut colour, these look identical to Briers green clogs. In fact my Amazon purchase history for Briers Clogs now links to Lakeland Active Lorton, which I have never purchased until this week.
The important thing you need to know is that the sizing has changed significantly. My old Briers size 9 were a close fit and my size 10s a bit too loose. My new size 10 'Lortons' are smaller than my Briers size 9 and a bit short for my size 9.5-10 feet.
I measured the external length to be sure. Results are:
My son's size 8 briers 283mm
My old size 9 Briers 302mm
My old size 10 Briers (stamped "44") 310mm
My new size 10 Lortons 297mm.
They have a thicker more comfortable insole than the original Briers.
UPDATE after 3 months hard use: The insole has accomodated my foot and the shoe feels longer. Now very happy with size ten, even though it is externally shorter. The insole is more comfortable and longer lasting than the original Briers Clog.
