Weird fit--especially in the legs.

I'm 4'11, very pear shaped, size 10 (M or L) bottoms. I ordered an XL because a lot of joggers are very fitted in the butt and hips, but I wanted these to be very baggy and loose. The waistband is very wide and adjustable, it's pretty comfy and fits loosely like I wanted (I am also wearing these low on my hips--so if you wear them more high waisted you cannot get away with sizing up at all). Unfortunately, the butt is fitted more than I wanted, so it's baggy at the top but suddenly fitted at the butt. It's a very stretchy material, so it looks more fitted than it really is--if that makes sense. The stretch also makes me think that these will stretch out a lot with wear OR shrink like crazy.
The calf band is SO SO big. I know I sized up a bunch, but these looks outright flared to the point I thought they sent me the wrong pants--the calf band could go around my upper thigh loosely. I had to roll them up 3 times to get even close to being tighter at my upper calf--but now it's just ugly and bulky.
So, if you are pear shaped and want a looser fit, I wouldn't recommend getting these with the intention of sizing up at all--maybe size down and deal with the tighter hips. The calves are just simply too big to not look clownish. I'll keep these to wear around the house, but I will be on the hunt for 'out of the house joggers'.

Not as pictured. I ordered heather gray and got a more navy color. Also no pockets! I had already washed them when I realized the pocket issue, so I guess I’m stuck.

Otherwise they are very soft and comfy!

The kegs were baggy and not tapered at the calf like the picture shows. They are soft and comfy so I will probably wear as pj’s.

HUGE is right and not flattering

These are very, very large. They are large all over included in the waist, hips, top of legs, and the "band" that hits at calf which is so large you cannot even tell it is a band. I wear a 6-10 in women's and most commonly an 8. I got a "S" and it is at least 2 sizes too big. I don't have a super defined waist and bigger hips but rather a bit of a tummy (thanks to the kids) and then straight down. I have muscular legs that are thin to average. I'm also 5'1". These don't work well for me at all. Even washing didn't shrink them enough to really fit.

I think the best body type for this pair of sweatpants is someone who has wide hips, small waist, plenty of "junk in the trunk" and/or maybe thicker legs. Because these will accommodate that very well and, I think, be pretty flattering. One of the other reviews has a picture and they are very flattering on her. For me they make me look like I'm playing dress up with a large boyfriend's sweats (like I got caught in the morning after an overnight and need something to get home in). Not for me.
