Decent pants, great fit

I wasn't looking forward to this purchase i have to admit, i would rather go to a shop when it comes to buying clothes particularly pants.
I'm an odd inbetweener size it's so annoying so when i saw these elasticated ones and read a couple of rather convincing reviews i went for it.
One reviewer recommended to go for the size down, im a 42 so i ordered a 40 on that advise.
When they arrived i tried them on straight away and they fit like a glove, the only thing I dont like about them is the elastic waistband which is mostly at the back anyway and can be covered using a belt, it's just so "gathered" just reminded me of those footy shorts i used to wear at school.
Decent pocket size (which i think is personal choice anyway) and all round decent quality
My advice of buying a size under may not apply to everyone but to give you some indication of stretch, these will go up to 2" with ease

Beware: Pay for Returns

Trousers were way too big and so I had to return. Beware - Chums either charge £3.50 for a return or you make your own arrangements and still pay the postage costs. This is unlike other garment retailers who offer free returns. It's also confusing when ordering on Prime to find you then have to pay Chums for a genuine return even though Amazon don't charge for genuine returns themselves. I'll not ever consider Chums again - it's cost me money to try them. This is a case of how to turn a customer off in one easy lesson.

Half the waist band is just a strip of ruffled elastic and the material is very shiny. In my opinion this item is not at all suitable for wearing in an office environment. Returned for a refund.
(I had to choose a 'fit' in order to leave this review. I did not even bother to try them on after seeing them removed from the packaging.)

I will be honest, my experience with clothing on amazon has been absolutely awful.

The local shops had no trousers in my size so I took a chance on amazon again. I really was expecting to have to return these but I'm extremely happy with them and will be getting another pair.

The waist is elasticated at the sides so it stretches a bit and remains comfortable. I'd honestly even given up with that in work trousers before these and accepted they would all either be uncomfortable or too baggy.

The only downside I would mention is the fastener. It's one of those slide button things that come undone if they aren't under tension. A standard button would have been much better but they do come with a spare regular button if you are feeling up to the task of creating your own button hole.

As a care worker that's constantly on his feet, these are highly recommended.

Like a few other reviewers, I found that during lockdown, the darkness in my wardrobe had caused some of my clothing to shrink. Being required to attend a funeral at fairly short notice I purchased these trousers to hopefully alleviate the problem.
Problem solved! Yes the elastication at the back is fairly prominent, but can be disguised by a belt.
At least now I will be able to attend the funeral without embarrassment or discomfort.
They're probably not the trousers that I would necessarily go to the pub in, but for the occasional formal occasion, they are fine.

Bought this set for my son's school uniform. Son loves it - says it's very comfy to wear. It's very lightweight and has an elasticated back. It does not go down even when he squats/bends.
It's a bit loose and he is wearing a belt to keep in place - but that doesn't bother.
The size is generous - I would suggest not going up too many sizes when buying.
Only wish was it could have been wrinkle free that does not need ironing when washed. Currently son cannot wear it to school without ironing after the wash, its too wrinked.

Bought a size up in trousers due to 'Covid gains' of the wrong kind. The trousers that arrived were OK, not the finest looking pair but on par for price. They lasted three days before the clasp broke and not because of poor fitting, I was wearing a belt because they were so loose, plus they're elasticated. Just shoddy work on clasp attachment.

Don't buy.

I must admit I was surprised when I ordered my usual size in trousers that when they arrived (on time as promised) they were too small...... Must have sent wrong size but NO to my horror they were right I had put on weight.... Oh no I will have to re-order and return these and it will be a hassle.... wrong it was so easy its untrue....Chums had sent a label for returns
(Just in case ) So wrap them up in original packaging ... pop to local shop.... Bingo job done.... Re-order arrived on time as promised the fit was perfect ( Now I had ordered the right size ) Quality of goods was excellent as was the service So top marks for CHUMS for AMAZING SERVICE AND A DIET PLAN FOR ME........

Didn't fit as expected , not a fault in itself but the quality of the trousers was poor very cheap looking. The e returns process useing Chums own method was poor as Chums failed to send a replacement as requested. Eventually got a refund after contacting via Amazon . I won't be useing Chums again

I have purchased other Chum trousers with no problem, however these were a much different cut. The crotch hung very low and the legs were significantly longer that normal. I would have just turned them up and not bothered returning, but there was so much extra fabric, it would have required a proper tailoring job. Returning both pairs purchased.
