Very poor quality for the price

Initially thought this was a decent quality item.
However, after one day's wear there is loose stitching coming out on the sleeves. I think when this is washed the stitching will simply unravel.
Wasn't exactly inexpensive so quite disappointed

On checking the size chart on this sales page I ordered size XL, being a size larger than I am (using the chart). Black colour was sent for review.
Carefully packaged in a recyclable thick plastic sleeve, I was immediately impressed with the colour. This really is a deep, full black and it looks incredible. Indeed, the sweater and the colour really does look exactly as in the pictures on this sales page.
100% cotton, the pattern is on the front and sleeves, the back is plain knit. It is reasonably lightweight and, although feeling a little "scratchy" at first when putting on (typical of cotton clothing) it soon felt really softer and comfortable.
The sleeves are perhaps a bit too generous in length but a simple tuck at the cuff brings them to a more realistic size.
Although I order size XL, being a size larger than I would have considered, this sweater fitted really nice - not tightly fitted but definitely not "roomy". The size it is on me would be ideal for wearing the sweater alone or maybe with a contrasting tee-shirt underneath - but definitely not a shirt or anything with long sleeves because there would not be enough room in the arms to wear both comfortably. For a customer who is wanting to have a more loose-fitting sweater and to be able to wear a shirt comfortably underneath it, I would suggest trying 2 sizes larger first.
I am not marking this product down because of the sizing because I know that sizing has become relative in the fashion industry and what one company considers as L another will mark-up as M. Everything depends on the designer, the pattern and the pattern cutter.
Washable by hand or in a machine, even tumble dry on a very low heat setting - the seller states there will be no deforming of the product shape if machine washed and tumble dried, and no fading of the colour. If this is so, then the price of this sweater is worth it.
Overall, I will recommend this garment, it is nicely made, comfortable to wear, excellent deep colour - but certainly first try 2 sizes larger if you intend wearing a standard fit shirt beneath it.

I’ve tried a few things from HIKARO over the years, and they have all been pretty well-made so it is establishing itself in my mind as a reliable brand. This sweater is no exception and works this traditional cable-knit style into a regular-fit V-neck sweater. It doesn’t offer any surprise-and-delight features and there is nothing out of the ordinary. The material all seems good quality and consistent throughout the garment. The stitching is excellent and I couldn’t find any loose threads at all. It’s quite a high V-neck so you’d have to be choose what you might want to try to layer under it - if anything at all.

If I were being picky I’d say I preferred a more tailored fit to accommodate a more athletic figure, as anyone who has a chest that’s bigger than their middle will find it rather roomy around the middle and thus not very flattering, but then this is something that most regular fit sweaters are going to be like.

For a price of c. £35 (at time of review) that feels about right for what you’re getting.

Pretty and comfortable jumper. True to size

That's indeed lovely jumper, very soft and elegant. I got this jumper in size L and it is true to size... It nicely fits my husband who usually wears size L. This V-neck jumper has comfortable fit.
Husband still can wear tshirt underneath or maybe even thermals on very cold days. Jumper is not very thick, neither thin, just right, in between.
The textured rib knitt is present only on the front and sleeves. Back is plain without any pattern/ texture. The neckline looks small on first look but it stretches well so it's not a problem when wearing the jumper.
The jumper is lovely, high quality made and I think it's worth the price, as it's made of very soft cotton. My advice is not to go size up, perhaps stick to your usual size or even downgrade the size if you are slim.

This is a very nice V neck sweater from the Hikaro Amazon range, and so it should be given the price tag. It is 100% cotton, making it nice and soft, and I would describe it as being "medium weight", so will help keep you warm in the winter, but also light enough to wear on summer evenings, especially when the temperature starts to drop.
I ordered the large, because it was the only size available. I am normally an XL-XXL, so I doubted it would actually fit me, but I was surprised to find that it did, almost perfectly. I think you can say that Amazon have made the sizing of this sweater generous.
Sleeves are just the right length too, with no need to roll them up, and I like the fact that it hugs the figure nicely, particularly around the chest.
The sweater can be washed by hand, or in the machine, although oddly there is no label stitched in to give you any information on that at all. I would suggest a cold, or 30 degree wash, and then hung to dry, or tumble dried at the lowest heat setting.
There's plenty of stretch in the material, and the whole thing is very nicely made. I also like the grey colour, which makes it very versatile when it comes to matching with your other clothes. This is definitely a sweater that can be worn causally, or more formerly, and although I was surprised at the price, now that I have worn, and closely examined it, I can confirm that the quality is very good indeed.
This is also available in black, but I definitely prefer the grey, because although the photo doesn't show it clearly, there is a lot of black detailing in there.
A lovely sweater, and I will be wearing it a lot.

I ordered the blue sweater in large size, even though I am normally XL. The sweater actually fits me perfectly, with a shirt underneath, which leads me to believe that this runs a little on the big side.
It is 100% cotton, and superb quality, heavy enough for wearing in winter to keep warm, and light enough to wear on a summers evening as it begins to cool down. The cotton is soft, and shouldn't pill, fray, wrinkle, or go out of shape either. Washing can be done either by hand, or on a 30 degree wash.
I would advise line drying, or tumble drying on as low a heat as possible. I have machine washed, and tumble dried mine, and it came out perfect.
This sweater comes from Amazon's own Hikaro brand, and it isn't exactly cheap. However, the quality is fantastic, far better than most sweaters I have seen in this price range.
It is smart enough to be worn formally with a suit, or causally with jeans. Despite the fact I ordered a size below my normal size, sleeve lengths are perfect too.
I would advise going for your normal size, but if you are a "small" XL, you should easily get away with a large like I have.
It's a lovely garment, and I would be tempted to order the black one too, if the picture didn't feature a beige colour instead of black.
Looked after properly, this sweater should last for many years, and I think the price is definitely worth paying.

When it comes to plain knit sweaters I can never quite understand why some are considered for men only. So I was brave and ordered this in XL as I spent all last winter looking for a natural fibre, oversized sweater for myself. There seemed to be a shortage, probably due to covid disruptions, so when I saw this it seemed to fit the bill. I like a range of fits in knitwear and a normal sizing for me would be 12-14 or M/L but
I like to have a couple of oversized sweaters for winter so I can wear them with leggings and throw on over long shirts/tunics. I am happy to report that when it arrived it turned out to be exactly what I envisaged. Its loose and long but doesn't make me look as though I'm wearing the wrong size, and it doesn't look as though I'm wearing a mans sweater.
It's a true navy blue, 100% cotton knit, and feels very soft with a good weight to it. The cable pattern is across the front and sleeves, the back is plain. It looks to be extremely well made and finished with no loose ends or threads.
It actually looks great teamed with white cropped skinny jeans too, and is a good wardrobe staple which can be worn in all seasons.
I'm very happy with this sweater and will look out for this brand as I much prefer this type of cotton knitwear to synthetic fibres.
