A lot of unfounded criticisms in these reviews, firstly and most importantly it keeps you dry, secondly the coated inner layer keeps you nice and warm and lastly its a great quality product as expected for the price range.
I live in Scotland which for the most part is typically wet, cold or both and this jacket has proved itself without doubt to keep back both of these, though i would still expect to wear thicker layers under the jacket too if your living somewhere particularly cold.
These jackets are sized down so i do recommend going a size up just to be on the safe side though theres plenty of room in the size i got so i doubt going the correct size would have made too much difference (basically i would judge it based on preference of a snug fit or slightly baggy fit).
The side pockets fit my hands inside though theres not much room, they aren't designed for actually holding anything (all other pockets have plenty of room, none are fake) again these shouldn't be getting relied on if your looking to keep your hands dry/warm (invest in gloves), its not something i look for in a jacket, its job is to keep most the top portion of your body dry/warm which it does really well.
The removable hood is handy and my one small criticism would be when its attached but not in use the two flaps that button together can flap around a bit in the wind, something to hold them down would be handy here though decent sized sticky velcro on these areas should do the trick.
Overall i’m really pleased with my jacket, i have had a good few weeks of use out of it already during a particularly stormy time in the UK and its served me well as both a practical and pretty stylish jacket.
