Too small

Beautiful shorts , sadly the sizing is something to be aware of when ordering .my boyfriend is normally 36" waist , which I ordered , as it said they were true to size . When they arrived they were at least 4" too small on the waist band . So they were sent back . Sad really cos they really are fabulous shorts

Cannot fault the quality ofcthese shorts, but the sizes are on the large side I'd say just to help others........ I'm about a 35 inch waist and ordered a 36 size and it was WAY too large!! Hadcto return unfortunately...... Shame as they're great-looking shorts!

Absolutely incredible shorts - true colour, they fit amazingly and are SO comfortable! Some of this clothing that Amazon Essentials do is just otherworldly in terms of how good it is! I mean, I'll put it this way... I've got a pair of Jack & Jones shorts that are absolutely fantastic, in every imaginable way...but they're not quite as good as these shorts from a company that began as a seller of books rather than clothes! (among other things ;) What more do I need to say? Forget name brands; Amazon Essentials is the future of clothes!

When I read the reviews there seemed to be very contrasting views regarding fit, maybe 60% or more said normal fit as expected, the rest seemed to find them either very small or very large in the waist. To be honest, if it wasn’t for the doubt about sizes, I would have bought two pairs from the outset but instead I only bought one to see the fit.

All I can tell anyone else perhaps having the same concern is, I’m a 36” waist, ordered a 36” and they fit well.

Can’t tell you yet about how hard wearing the material is but it looks like it will be and I really like the colour.

As for Amazon, if there were some problems at some point around incorrect sizing or labelling and its now resolved, why not let everyone know in the description so that customers can buy in confidence?

I’ve given the 3 ⭐️ score because not because they are not nice but I’ve got an odd body where my waist doesn’t fit my legs and upper body , so the waist is 1 size too big and legs are two sizes to small but don’t let that put you off these lovely shorts , I have big thighs due to my training for 40 years my upper body is very big and waist is smaller 38/40 so I would say if I was ideal all over body shape these would be just perfect with a nice wiggle room as I hate tight bottoms . So I would say just get your optimum size

I was pleasantly surprised by these shorts. The quality is good and the fit, for me, is bang on. Was a bit worried by other reviews so nearly ordered a couple of extra pairs - one slightly larger, one smaller - but just went with my normal size and they fit really well. If I'm being pedantic, maybe a tiny bit larger on the waist but I mean tiny. Actual fit and comfort is really good. Will buy more!

The product arrived bang on time and fitted perfectly. I am a standard 33 waist which is often difficult to find so I was delighted.
The colour - Stone - I have also found difficult to get elsewhere. Again it was exactly what it said on the tin. The material is soft, not heavy but not thin and how Amazon do it for the price I have no idea. But I am so pleased with them I have already ordered more pairs in different colours just now.

I thought I would try the non-designer wear and to be honest I was surprised! The quality is good, fitted well, deep pockets. The only negative were the legs are large, which made the shorts baggy. Thinking of the waist to leg ratio! Apart from the negative, I was happy with the product.

Less like a Chino fit, more like skater

They are comfy although the crotch rides down a little making it difficult to cycle. They're not fitting like chinos should, more like a baggy skater short.

But, they are seemingly strong, comfortable to walk in, but not so good when walking up a steep wooded hill climb.

So they are a perfect fit and well put together The only downside for me me is the material they are made from its like a soft cotton with the pattern obviously printed on but they are fine for the price had the material maybe a blend they would be 5xstar they are still a good ish buy
