Perfect for beginners, probably for everyone!!

I started running 7 weeks ago. Running regularly now I thought I should get some proper running trainers. What a massive difference!! Didnt want to spend too much or too little. After searching and researching and debating over so many different makes brands and prices, I thought I'd try these. Not disappointed at all. Perfect fit, super comfortable, excellent response on the road. They are very lightweight and seem durable though only time will tell. Iv only used them on road runs so not a review for trail or track. Highly recommend!

great bouncy feel
But the fit is a size too big ( as compared to my other four pairs of Asics), and as such my foot is completely unstable and unable to use these things.
Three runs in and have consigned them to the cupboard for life.

Ok! So Im writting this to Say the good and the bad things.

Pro: this new FF BLAST technology is one of the best that I’ve used, much better Than On Cloud, Nike Reaction and same or Little bit better than Ultraboost 20, muuuuuch better than any Mizuno shoe and Saucony the midsole is too stable, even if you step too right or left the shoe tries to keep the foot in the center. I think Midsole and FF Blast tech is a 10 out of 10.

Cons: the construction of the shoe, laze and sides are just loose, I think, somehow big, there’s no evidence of fit or stretch technology anywhere and the feeling that the shoe provides is “loose” i think that doesn’t mater when you are doing speed sesions, fartleks, etc but, I used them today in a Half Marathon and it feels big/loose, if you are used to wear shoes like Ultraboost, Nova boost, NB 1080, Etc. This will make you feel different and uncomfortable.

Overall Comment:
From my personal point of view. 3 out of 5 is fair. The midsole is the highest point, stable, soft but firm, cushion and bounce response, simple amazing . But the “mesh” is uncomfortable, no fit at all, feels loose and big. My recomendation is to use them for no longer than 1:30:00 hours, 10k to 21k. Definitely Not for longer distance like Marathon.

The price is acceptable.

Wrong color twice

I love these shoes, but this is the second time I've been sent a blue/pink/black/green pair instead of black on black. If you are planning on buying the black on black with a white-speckled sole, do not order it, it's not what you'll receive. I love these shoes so I ordered two pairs, and I will use them. It's just annoying not to be sent what is advertised.

The novablast is a great highly neutral trainer with a huge stack height, substantial heel to toe drop, and is well-known for its bouncy, trampoline-like ride. It does run quite large though, I advise sizing down at least half if not a full size.

WARNING: the 3 shoes with a gradient pattern in the midsole (such as French Blue/Black) are a DIFFERENT style shoe than the others in this amazon listing. They are KNIT uppers rather than MESH and are called the “pixel noise” series. Certainly not ideal for warm weather running and the description of the shoes is inaccurate. The seller I purchased from only allows returns for unworn items and even then charges for shipping + 10% restock fee so it looks like it’s knit or knothing for me.

I wanted to like these so much. They looked great on Amazon but didnt have the original color I desired, so with with these Blue/Black/orange.

To get the aesthetic issue done, you can see this weird black spray paint job on the midsole. Not sure if Asics changed process up since pictures, but this was not the look I expected. Still, its livable.

Fit. This is what killed my dreams of ever owning a shoe called "Novablast".
Initially they were tight and definitely made for narrow feet! Gave them a spin because everything needs a break in, right? No.. you assumed wrong. No break in time will compensate for the absolute lack of arch and heel support. They're squishy and feel good yes. But in a "Let's glue a bag of marshmallows to this 2×2 wooden board" way. Step in any direction except absolutely straight and you're spraining that favorite ankle of yours. Step on a large pebble the wrong way while running? Instant fatality.
These shoes were made for small humans that burn more calories on a single run than they have ever eaten on Thanksgiving, whilst simultaneously having connective tissue made from woven titanium. If you have a cat that weighs more than you, enjoy spraining your two best ankles before your morning run, and relish the idea of strapping soggy biscuits glued to cardboard on your feet.. these were made for you. Everyone else, stick to the Asics GT series for actual running.

Neutral shoe but not as expected

ASICS is the best brand when choosing a color / design for your shoes. I have a very old ASICS ( since 10 years ago ) and I do not remember what model they were and I cannot find out on the shoes what model they are but those shoes has been amazingly good and they are still good for another year or so.
The NOVABLAST was the third modern shoe from ASICS I bought after trying the Nimbus and GT and I felt weird walking with these shoes. I do not know if they defective but my right heel was leaning inward when I walked and this is something that I never felt or feel with other shoes that I have from Brooks, Nike and my old ASICS.
I did not want to exchange it and decided instead to go with the BROOKS GHOST 12 which are excellent, no issues at all and they fit "like a glove".
So, my review cannot be more than 3. Last but not the least, I did not feel the NOVABLAST to be as soft as ASICS claims. I weight 225 pounds.

Disappointing

Having worn gel-nimbus for years, I was enticed by the extra cushioning that this shoe promised - and it did not disappoint in this area. The cushioning is amazing, and I do enjoy the "bounce" as well as the light weight. That's the sum total of the good features for me, however. The overall feel of the shoe gives me the impression of a cheaply built imitation of the Asics I've been wearing for many years. Granted, designed with different goals in mind than the nimbus series, but nevertheless construction seems cheap. I feel as though I've moved from driving an Audi to a Toyota. Even the laces are cheap - they are terrible, and I've had to purchase replacements that stay tied and don't cut into my foot when tightened. I've given these shoes three stars because overall they are not terrible shoes, but just not up to Asics standards IMO. Can't wait for them to wear out so I can go back to my Gel-Nimbus!

Possibly knock off version

This is an odd review as I will soon buy another pair. I think I received a knock off pair as it doesn’t have the bounce like the ones I had purchased in the store. Having said that they still fit well and using them more for working out than running. I do use them for some running but the pair I purchased from the local store are worn but still effective and after 500+ miles still work

A bit to much cushion for my liking. Front toe box a bit to narrow. Side of toe box also needs support to prevent movement. I felt that my feet were sliding to much. I really had hopes for these shoes.

The cushion is incredible but these pronate so much that I feel like my heal is slipping off sole. This is especially noticable when walking around.
When running it goes away a bit because I'm midfoot striking. This is where these shoes shine.
I wanted so much to like these shoes but perhaps I go a bad pair. Perhaps they corrected this in the Novabast 2.

Only had a couple months and noticeable wear on back inside probably due to poor stability of the shoe. I will add that I run ~25 miles a week. I actually think the shoe is very comfortable to walk in and I feel great cushioning during runs but lacks good support.
