Not cheap but definitely worth the extra

This is the second time I have purchased Savile Row Men's Pyjama Bottoms. The others, getting on for a year old I think, have not torn or ripped anywhere. I mention this because I have also purchased unbranded alternatives that didin't last long, they had to be repaired two or three times until I just threw them away.

Based on this experience, buy Savile Row. The material is of a higher standard, that much is clear, and it would be a false economy to buy a cheaper equivalent.

Please note that I did not get these free, I paid full price like anyone else.

Oversized and scratchy cotton

These have benefited from a good wash at 40C (with extra fabric conditioner), but they still run big (in terms of width, not length) and the fabric is still a bit rough and scratchy (it's almost like they were starched before being packaged). I'm hoping that a few more washes will soften the fabric up a bit more. I like the drawstring, and the colours are true to the online image. So, at the moment they are OK, but I hope after a bit of time/wear/washing they'll be 'good'.

I was looking for pyjama bottoms for my partner, who has finally torn his 15-yr-old M&S pair. I wanted something of natural fabric, manufactured in Europe, and which didn't cost a fortune. I therefore had high hopes for this product from the Savile Row Company. The product arrived promptly, and came in a plastic bag with SRC logo. At first look, the fabric seemed slightly thinner than expected (at least vs. the impression I got from the Amazon photo), but it is cotton, so maybe that's just how it is. I first tried the pyjamas on myself, as I am a similar frame to my partner. I am a UK 12, and these pyjamas were far too tight around the waist (I ordered 'small' based on the label of my partner's existing M&S pjs). There was no way I would have been comfortable wearing these in bed. I immediately proceeded to request a refund, but just before I took the product to the post office, I decided to show them to my partner. His first reaction was 'Wow, Savile Row!?'. He then insisted on trying them on, and was absolutely adamant that they were a good fit. The length at least was perfect. So, I cancelled the refund, and have now wrapped them in Xmas paper ready for December.

For me these were way too long in the leg, however I normally get a 29inch inside leg so this shouldn't put you off if you are more of a normal size and shape!

I have had stuff from Savile Row before and have been impressed by the comfort of the material in the past. However despite a couple of washes these still feel a bit rough on the skin and wrinkle quite badly, something the pyjama shorts haven't done. However as I don't wander about anywhere where people will see me this is of no accord.

Overall I am satisfied, but not as delighted as I had anticipated.

Terrible, very disappointed with this offering from what is a very good company. Not comfortable at all and very cheap in touch and feel.

The elastic waist is awful, they could be used as a military g-suit. I bought a large (my waist size is a little smaller) as the size up would have been too long. Very uncomfortable and terribly cheap and nasty - £15 down the drain.

Pay less get less. I should not have stayed from M&S.

Super happy with the Navy Blue / Striped and so I ordered 2 more pairs. Despite stating clearly 100% cotton in the title, they are not. Ok, it says it in the description, my fault for not rereading but when presented in the same listing... the first pair are a high quality breathable cotton. Second pair (Navy Red #1b) are 59% cotton, 29% viscose and 12% acrylic with a horrible sheen finish and the third pair (Navy Red #1e) are a cheaper (sort of brushed) cotton. Nowhere near up to the same standard as original pair and so shall be returning. Shame.

I've always liked my trackies and lounge wear loose fitting so I went for the XL and was not disappointed. Well made and easy drawstring if need to tighten waist. Perfect!
