Unsafe, ineffective, uncomfortable, what more do you need?

Plainly put, this mask is a joke, it does not offer the same degree of protection as your standard disposable mask, it provides less protection than a torn t-shirt wrapped around your face.
Why? Because it is so stiff that it doesn't fit or wrap the contours of your face, leaving exposed gaps between the nose and the cheeks, as well as the sides of your jaw. So when you breathe normally, the air is pushed upwards and into your eyes which is just an uncomfortable experience.
The material used is something you might see on a cheap raincoat, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was made using the recycled off-cuts of a raincoat since it has the same construction of waterproof outer layer as well as a waterproof inner padding? Which has very little flexion, making it very uncomfortable to wear, and is clearly not breathable if not for the large gaps that the mask does not cover around your face.
In fact, if you wear this mask in such a way that you press down the gaps to create a seal, it's actually very difficult to breathe, if you want a sense of how it feels, put your hand over your mouth and create a tight seal, that's what this mask feels like to breathe through without gaps.
All in all, is this mask better than nothing? Yes, it will offer protection to the degree that if someone sneezes on your face, it's going to stop the frontal assault, but it's going to do nothing about the lingering droplets that you inevitably breathe in through the exposed sides and top.
I'd be more forgiving of this shoddy product if peoples health and possibly even lives were on the line because they chose to use this pathetic excuse for a mask.
