Good socks for the price

I've had good use out these for a few months now and I'm yet to see any holes or tears appearing. So they have been good as far as durability goes.

Comfort wise I have no complaints, they feel good on the skin and are 'breathable', so I've experienced no itchiness.

I go swimming quiet alot and it's horrible having to put on tight socks after getting out of the pool. These however stretch alot so are easy to take on and off.

For the price I don't think you'll find better on Amazon. 5 stars.

OK, so I usually buy my socks from Next or M&S, but in a moment of frugality and laziness I decided to prime myself some socks.

First thing I noticed was the threads are very large, not very fine knit and rather porous compared to other socks I own. Though I will concede that they are reasonably soft.

Wore them straight out of the pack and experienced a fair bit of slip in a variety of shoes, which gave me a slight blister and wore the back of the socks thin after just 1 use! So I washed the rest and let them hang dry; they're not very soft anymore but they are now reasonably firmer.

Wore these now washed socks and they don't really slip, they may be slightly but it's not noticeable.

Overall, definitely not great, personally would not buy again but if you're in desperate need or having a lazy, frugal moment then you could do worse.

I bet you think, I can't do a detailed review on socks.... challenge accepted.. and why are you writing this on Christmas day? Everyone is asleep and I'm waiting to unwrap some presents! On to the review!

As the world was in Lockdown and some of us couldn't work from home.... we all had a few wishes our loved ones safety and I want to go back to work. (Or was that just me?) July I was allowed back, all my clothing was tighter or uncomfortable to wear, I blame the endless supply of food. As I have to walk 3 miles daily between work and home, some new socks were dearly needed. I found these very quick and I thought the price was perfect for the quantity. They arrived with several other items in perfect timing, packaged nice secure and safe from the elements. First inspections, all of the socks looked in good order, no tears or holes to be found and only one that had a little fraying. The first wear, they felt like.... socks haha. No they was the right amount of tight, very thin material to be honest, I could see my foot tattoos through them haha. If it was winter (as of the first wear) it wouldn't give you any protection against the cold. The material is good for the summer as it allows your feet to breathe. Nobody wants a sticky, sweaty set of feet after a long day at work right? After the first month at least half of them were torn, had a large hole or were beyond wearing. One at the big toe area and the rest at the back. Nothing more annoying than playing peekaboo with your big toe when you switch to your work shoes. I do not have long or sharp nails, neither do the backs of my shoes have anything sharp to snag the socks. The material is very thin, and just wore out over the time of wearing them, which is a shame. I'm now at winter and I have one intact pair. These have to be the sock with the least longevity I have owned. Though looking at the title Dress shoes, maybe they are not designed for the 3 miles daily walk? Either way. I would post a picture for the review, but I will not post my feet to the internet, some people enjoy that! Honestly no judgment here, we have our things we love! But no feet pics for you today! Do I recommend? Probably not, I'm sorry, just not suitable for what I would consider a standard work say for many. All the best to you all and Merry Christmas.

I know they are only socks, BUT, whilst on face value these look fine, good fit, decent build etc, there are 2 things that make these not very good at all, so i wrote this review:

1. They are not of a very breathable material. The blend of cotton, polyester and elastene, whatever the ratio, mean that these sock do not let heat disperse very well and so leave you with very hot/sweaty feet!
2. The stitch that goes across the top of the toes is uncomfortable and chafing, its not fine and leaves a roll which chafes against the top of your toes, and can be uncomfortable and after a long day of walking, painful.

Still very cheap for what you get, but you get what you pay for.

I'm going to start off with a disclaimer: I am not a man. I bought these because the women's counterpart costed almost double with only half as many socks in the same package, so I decided to try men's socks since I purely wanted these for work. Obviously, this meant that the socks are absolutely massive on my size-5 feet. However, despite the men's ankle socks being knee-high socks on me, not a single pair has been worn down enough to be thrown away in the 2 years since I bought these. They do a good enough job of staying just below my knees, so although the heel sticks out somewhere along my lower leg, it is still tight enough to not actually slip off from 9-hours-a-day movement.

I was looking for a multi pack of mid-weight black socks on here at a reasonable price (and so many socks are way over priced for what they are, especially sports socks!) and ordered these based on the good reviews. I'm happy to report that they're really nice and good quality! They're 51% cotton, 47% polyester and 2% Lycra. They're fully formed, unlike some cheap socks (and I ordered a cheap multi-pack from here a couple of months ago and those socks are more like shapeless tubes!) , a nice length, well elasticated at the top and they don't slip and twist around on my feet like some cheap socks do (I.e. ones that contain more polyester). So, I'm very happy with these nice, comfortable socks!!

You order these socks right, and then after a period of time the fella delivers 10 pairs of socks to you. Brilliant like. Well not that brilliant like.

In *every* other respect these socks are fine, i.e. they fit well, are just the right length (come to about 1/3 to 1/2 way up my calf, they look formal and there are lots of pairs.

HOWEVER, to describe them as "cotton" socks is something trading standards may be interested in!

From what I can see and feel, these are almost entirely nylon! It's obvious that they would be really because they are said to fit such a wide range of sizes, so they'd have to be nylon to do that because cotton isn't that stretchy.

For a person that has trouble with nylon causing skin complaints these are a nightmare. Shame. As I say, they are perfect in every other respect, so if you don't mind nylon socks these are ok, but for those of us that ordered cotton, don't be mislead by the description.

Amazon, please do some QA. There are laws in the UK about misleading advertising. Thank you.

I've been a bartender for over 5 years now during which time i've always had to wear plain black socks as part of the uniform. In the job I'm on my feet much of the day, as well as spending an average of 45 mins each working day walking to/from work. I've tried several other brands of socks, some being the cheapest of the cheap, some being more expensive brand-named socks. But these are the best, by far. They're way more durable than any others I've tried, I find them incredibly comfortable to wear, and they don't fade in colour after several washes.

The only criticisms really I could give this product would be that they don't solve world hunger, nor do they back up the theory that the meaning of life is people aren't wearing enough hats. But Amazon doesn't let me represent this in any of the star ratings, unfortunately.

I do believe though these would be favoured by The Flying Spaghetti Monster if he/she/they needed new socks.

Which it is bad, my husband can gave at work only cotton socks!!!! Change your description
