Lost a star: The 2nd strap is very loose--good for people with lower extremity swelling, bad for people without swelling.

Lost a star: if you look closely, the material of the sandal body has little bubbles--as if it weren't completely smoothed out in manufacturing. Also, you can see how the straps are glued on--I don't think it's a durable material.

Gain a star: squishy material! Very spongy, and is nice for walking.

Gain a star: probably does a good job at it's product description, which is to provide an orthopedic sandal. This star is really just me being optimistic--I'm returning the sandal due to the loose strap, so I won't be able to truly test this out.

Design flaw (an updated review)

I first purchased a pair of the sandals (black/snakeskin) 3 (4?) mos. ago and left a glowing review. I loved the look, fit, and most importantly the comfort of this two-strap sandal. I give it a 5-star rating in those categories but I will never buy this sandal again or recommend it because it has a design or manufacturing flaw. It occurred in that first pair as well as the second one which I purchased only last month (Nov.). The first pair I used mainly to run errands and the second only for indoors. The flaw appeared in both situations.
Imbedded in the rubber sole is a plastic or metal support frame. It appears the melted rubber was poured over the frame to bond together. After wearing the first sandals for 3 mos., a portion of the rubber heel began to wear in a slant (typical of that foot). With only 1/4" or less worn down, the frame was exposed so it meets the floor when I walk and it causes a clicking or tapping sound. It was so annoying that I purchased a 2nd pair (cork/gold) and decided I would only wear it in-house so the bottom wouldn't get scuffed so quickly. Here it is only one month later and the same thing has happened! The same corner of the rubber sole is barely worn and the imbedded frame is becoming exposed. I am again making a clicking/tapping sound like a peg-leg while walking on tile. Either the rubber is too soft and wears easily or the manufacturer has not imbedded the frame deep enough into the rubber. Be forewarned.

In my initial review(below) I had given these high marks and five stars. Today, upon trying on my second pair (in black) I downgraded these due to lack of consistency.

I initially got the faux snake style. Different color but same shoe. However, the black ones are not nearly as great. The sole feels like a regular shoe not anywhere as soft cushy and comfy as the first ones I bought just a week ago. Disappointed.

After having spent a small fortune on a sleep boot, plantar fasciitis socks, foot insoles, cold packs, cold socks, warm socks, special running shoes, etc nothing even touched the pain. Zero relief with all those things I bought before.

I usually only buy Vionics but none of my usual ones were on sale so I tried these. They are cuter and more outfit compatible than my usual Vionics. After a month or two, somehow I got a small puncture in one of them. Once that happened they started squeaking with every step. I liked them so much and they were a reasonable price that I bought a duplicate pair and donated the old.

The new pair has no puncture marks but after a month both shoes squeak, especially when there is dew on the ground or raining. Unfortunately buying two pairs doesn't last as long as one pair of my Vionics.

There are these little "nubbies" on the sole of the shoe (primarily the left one) that are annoying. They may be small, but for feet that are already sensitive, they feel much bigger and take away from the comfort of the shoe. (Also, I wish you made more1/2 sizes, 9.5 would have been better for me)

I got these in the size 6 for my mama and she hated them because , 1. She said “she doesn’t need old lady sandals ”, which I felt offended cuz I thought they were cute and 2. “They’re too big on her”. Yes so I ended up keeping them for my self and I wear size 7-7 and half and they’re still loose from the front on me. They’re ok. If u do decided to get them maybe try smaller size or Just get something else to be honest.

These shoes were very cute and comfortable. But, the material they are made from made my feet sweat constantly and smell terrible! I have never had any issues with my feet smelling, but it's like the soles trap in bacteria and it smells unbearable after wearing them for one day! I tried cleaning the soles, but the same thing happened the next day. Had to return them.
