Lee, always good

I've been buying Lee jeans for over 40 years, they are always good, always fit well and they never compromise on quality. It's for that reason that you rarely see them reduced in price. My advise to anyone thinking of buying a new pair of jeans is to buy Lee jeans and forget the rest. My personal favourite style is 'Brooklyn'

These jeans were claimed to be the same size as many other trousers and jeans I've bought from Amazon and other suppliers, but were a terrible fit. I returned the, which was a hassle as they go back to the US and Amazon got their paperwork wrong. You have to have THREE copies of the signed invoice enclosed in a special envelope provided by the Carrier or it will not be accepted by them, so I had to take their envelope and go back home to start again. Finally, I have an advice of refund payment from Amazon but it's only for two thirds of the sum due. Why? and why is a reduced payment snuck through on an email as if all is in order? If Amazon are making a reduced payment, justified or not, then they need to be up front wand honest about it. Have I been too trusting of them in the past?

I ordered a 36W / 30L and the label says 36W/30L, but they are not. I thought when they were washed they would pull in a bit to be the exactly the same size as the pair of 36W / 30L I bought last year. No they were still too big, 2" on the waist and 1" on the legs, they are far too baggy, I suspect the are actually 38W / 30L incorrectly labelled.

I've previously bought the black version of these jeans, so I was confident of the size required which, for me, is the same as most other jeans I've previously purchased, i.e. they fit true. If, like me, you prefer something on the dark side, then these blue black ones will be perfect; not black, but very dark blue.

If they turn out to wear as well as the previous Lee jeans I've bought then I will be delighted.

The only problem is with Lee, the company, insofar that the shortest inside leg available is 30 inches, resulting in further costs (10 pounds sterling) for alteration. even so the jeans are still good value at 44.6 pounds.

I had been suffering from a terrible dilemma. Get jeans that I like (baggy and therefore displeasing to the missus) or ones that she likes (tighter on bum and and thighs therefore restricting my movement). Through addition of spandex these jeans have completely resolved the conflict. The only compromise with these seems to be that they don't feel as hard wearing as pure denim. I got the blue black color which is a pleasing dark blue.
