Good but not great

This is my first pair of Asics Gel Nimbus, as I have previously run in Mizuno Wave Riders, but fancied a change and after reading reviews thought these would make a solid choice.
They have enough cushion under the heel to provide enough comfort for daily running , whether that be a faster 5k or a tough hill session. However, I wouldn't wear these for anything beyond 10-15k, instead only using for shorter distances and for daily use as they are super comfy to walk about in too.
I don't have big feet by any means, but there is a slight tightness on the top of my foot when wearing these, especially on the left foot.
Aesthetics wise these are a great looking pair of shoes, the blue is almost metallic and the cooper/rose gold elements really pop too.
Like I say in the title I like these shoes but haven't been totally blown away by them, which for the price I was hoping to be.

Fluid canvas top too fluid.

Purchased these in March 2020 to replace my previous gel nimbus shoes that I had had for many years (over 5) and only thing wearing was the sole - and not much. During that time I have run a couple of half marathons with training often in wet winter months and used them for twice weekly gym sessions.
So really suprised these have only lasted a couple of months (3 max) of mainly fast walking in lockdown. No half marathon or gym, and warm dry weather. Noticed a tiny tear in left shoe 2 weeks ago which has grown to 25mm long. Basically over small toe. Now notice similar small tear on right foot starting in same spot. Fit felt OK.
Will look for another Asics shoe as usually find theirs most comfortable but don't think the materials here up to usual standard.

Expensive mistake!

The Toe box is smaller than my previous ASICS. Same brand and size as my last 3 pairs of ASICS but these are short on big toe room. Constant pressure on the top end of my big toes. Annoying!

Asics still makes the same shoes as if the world hadn't changed in 20 years. The shoe is heavy and too well padded. The comfort is lacking because of the tall toe box. It's like they mistook the Altra wide toe box for an invitation to make a huge toe box. The gel outsole is very stable and offers adequate comfort but only if you like firm comfort. The sizes are closer together than other brands which is good. Overall a very 20th century feel for this shoe. The reviewer runs in Adidas and Nikes.

Watch out for latent defect.

I purchased these shoes in May/June and after having worn them for several runs my shoes have developed a latent defect. This was not an issue in the initial stage of wearing but an indent has now developed on the front part of the left shoe that digs into my left "big toe" which becomes excruciatingly painful when I run. This inward indent chaffs against my "big toe" continually and especially after a long run leaves my toe raw and occasionally bleeding. The inward indentation is not necessarily big but is prominent enough to dig into my toe and cause sever irritation. It is a weak point on the inner, front side of the shoe that after wearing seems to "fold in" on itself after tying the laces to secure the shoe. Once tied, the "fold in" part is what digs into my toe. I am awaiting feedback form the reseller....

Veramente deluso dopo tanto tempo è arrivata l’ora di cambiare brand ,scarpe troppo avvolgenti che stringono troppo il piede creando fastidio al mignolo ,pianta strettissima anche la lunghezza è diversa mentre nelle altre nimbus con lo stesso numero avevo più di 1 cm in questa è quasi giusta, sicuramente molto reattiva ma Per me non idonea

Premesso che sono un runner di modesta caratura e che tutto ciò che sto per dire si riferisce alla mia esperienza, trovo queste scarpe con alcuni difetti a dir poco rilevanti. Uno su tutti una tomaia assolutamente poco contenitiva che da la sensazione che il piede all'interno debba continuamente assestarsi. In certi istanti anche solo camminando si ha la sensazione di questa elasticità strutturale che faccia andare il piede a destra e a sinistra e a scivolare in punta. Mi spiace ma, ripeto, per quanto riguarda l'esperienza del sottoscritto non valgono assolutamente la cifra cui sono proposte essendo una scarpa che si avvicina al top di gamma e sono assolutamente al di sotto di standard eccellenti come quelli di Brooks Ghost 12. Usare le Nimbus per me significa immediatamente sentire lo scarico su caviglie e ginocchia e avere dei piccoli disturbi tipo tendiniti che si acuiscono sensibilmente nei giorni successivi. Mein Meinung nach fast 1 Jahr...
Passgenauigkeit und Bequemlichkeit ist unbestritten 1a. Der Laufkomfort sucht seinesgleichen. Leider sieht es in der Verarbeitung ganz anders aus, Material löst sich auf. Es beginnt ganz klein und ist dann aber unaufhaltsam. Ich trage sie jetzt noch für Gartenarbeit oder ähnliches. Schade eigentlich, wäre ein 1A Schuh. Kommt aber für mich daher nicht mehr infrage. Nach 1 Jahr 140 EUR dahin ist mir zuviel.

El calzado en sí es cómodo y en asfalto va genial, carrera super cómoda gracias al buen ajuste y a la amortiguación.

El problema, que también me ocurrió con las Nimbus 19, es que la parte que protege el empeine es muy endeble y ha acabado cediendo con tan solo 150 Kms de uso. Una lastima.

Ho già acquistato in passato ASICS Nimbus gel e mi sono sempre trovato bene, ottima tenuta, scarpa ben fatta, questa volta purtroppo sono rimasto un po’ deluso. La scarpa di per se è buona, ma la cura nella costruzione non è soddisfacente. Come si vede dalle foto dopo un solo utilizzo di una corsetta breve di 7 km, il logo laterale ha iniziato a staccarsi e la scarpa sinistra quando pieghi il piede assume una forma che va verso l’interno della scarpa andando a toccare l’alluce e quindi diventa fastidioso nella corsa. Purtroppo non posso fare il reso in quanto avevo già buttato la scatola. Acquisto pessimo!!!
