Very good, economic and environmentally friendly fire lighters.
I've used paraffin ones for years and they are good for lighting my multifuel stove, but these are just as good, better for the environment and cost effective.
I have bought other brands of these first, but I find these of a more consistent size and plenty of them, for a good price.
I've bought two boxes now, and might buy another to have a spare in my garage

Addition 25/05/21: I did buy another box for my garage, and I'm now halfway through that, so I've ordered ANOTHER box.
Seriously, if you are looking for eco firelighters, these are the Log's Bollocks. They're even £1 cheaper than the last time I bought them. Why buy any others?

I received item in good time, at a glance the fire wood wool flame started good size, until I stated to count them. Unfortunately there wasn’t 200 as stated in the box it was more like 171 also within this there were are least 10 very skinny ones. I contacted Amazon regarding this and they kindly refunded me. On the positive side this seem like the best wood wool fire-lighter in terms of size, so far selling in the Amazon website. The company needs to check that the quality is correct before sending to the buyer. I will order again after sending this review. I hope the box I receive has got the 200 stated and not so many tiny/thin wood wool.

Excellent fire lighters! Loads in a box, light easily and give good heat and flame without smoking like paper would. I keep the box under the stairs and top up miniature bucket of them next to my burner. I found these cheaper alternatives after using Flamers, these are a lot cheaper and work just as well. No odd fatty smell like some I’ve used, appear to be wax coated.

Perfect fire lighters. I just use one to get the kindling going and add a small log to start. As soon as the initial burn is dying down I add some larger logs and the fire stays lit. Obviously no chemical smell and no horrible residue on fingers. Really attractive by the log pile in a little basket and the biggest natural fire lighters I’ve ever bought for the best price. 10/10

OK but not XL

Bought these as moved to a property with a log burner.
The packaging is as advertised, smart and quite good looking - but its a box.
Contents - The individual lighters vary dramatically in size, some very slim (1cm diameter), others as described are larger - I would hesitate to call these XL though.
I bought the box with 200 units in it - disappointed at the amount of wood wool shaving that have peeled off in the box. This could be due to the way the package was handled by the delivery companies, or it could be because the product has not had the correct finishing off in the manufacturing process. Maybe the quality controls need improving or the people monitoring quality need a little coaching.
As far as performance, they do burn well, with the larger lighters burning more consistently than the smaller ones.
Would I recommend - If consistency in product size is critical then no. BUT if size doesnt matter and you want to use more to light your fires, then they are OK.
I have previously bought similar products from other suppliers, and shall be reverting to them in future.

Warmth......asked in the review to give a star-rating for warmth. If you’re using these to keep you warm, then you’ve got your fire lighting all wrong 😂 However, they’re very easy to light and stay alight long enough to get your kindling going. They shed quite a bit in the box but scoop that stuff up & toss it over your kindling and it’s a nice little addition.
As fire lighters, they do what they need to and are preferable to the old cubes.

Good quality firelighters (we use for starting wood burning stove). You definitely only need 1 to get it going with some kindling. Decent value for money. If I had to say anything negative it's that there is some variation in size, but even at the smallest size they're still bigger than "standard" and never any need to use 2 at a time.

First off these are not XL. I was fooled. I should have bought my regular purchase from another company. Also they don't lit well and fire doesn't start well. Won't be buying from this one again. I shall stay committed to the other brand I have bought for years. They don't claim XL sizing and theirs burns the wood much more efficiently.

I ordered these with trepidation as I have bought other natural firelighters for years that I have been very happy with. I needed have worried. These are actually larger than what I used to buy, and seem to be made of exactly the same stuff and work just as well, if not better as larger. Very pleased, happy to recommend. If you haven't tried natural firelighters yet, do; they are much better than normal firelighters, last longer and not smelly etc....
