How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsWhen your jeans are better looking than you, you know the game is up.

I bought these jeans for a night out, they arrived super sharpish were an exact fit for my waist unlike some manufacturers who make jeans all over the shop with an all over the shop fitting I can’t remember the name but it might be similar to Bruce Lee or Lee Van Cleef or Lee Harvey?I can see it before my eyes? Leee??? It’s gone… I’m just not sure, sorry.
I love Lee jeans in fact I have just noticed all but one pair of my jeans are Lee. Lee last the longest, shrinks the least and loose less dye through their life, the thread quality is good with no broken or loose seam stitching. They have a slight stretchy ness to them and are are a nice looking blue. These are not the heaviest denim but a good compromise for the cost and don’t look cheap and are a nice fit around the rear end and have the best looking pockets and are a nicely tailored off the shelf. Here’s a pic of them after that successful night out.

3.0 out of 5 starsGood fit, denim quality not what it used to be
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2021
These straight-cut jeans have a good fit, as expected from Lee. I used to buy Lee Brooklyns with the same inside leg length (32) 30 years ago, albeit with an accordingly smaller waist size (it was 32, now inflated to 36!), and they appear to have stayed faithful in that regard.

One thing other than my waist size that has changed in those few decades is the denim quality. It's thinner and has a slightly coarse texture that one associates with cheaper jeans, which also causes fluff and stuff to stick to it. I don't expect them to look very good after a few washes, as this kind of quality denim never does, and usually creases badly in the wash and requires heavy ironing (I'm speaking from experience). I guess this is what fifty quid buys these days, and given ongoing post-lockdown inflation it's only going to get worse, probably.

For now though, straight out the bag they look good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Made for discount not discounted.

Like a lot of jeans on amazon I feel like these were made to be sold discounted, not regular stock that’s been discounted.
There is nothing particularly wrong with them but the denim seems quite thin, the stitching is quite rough in spots and the sizing/fit is a bit off. Compared next to an older pair they just don’t quite seem right.
This could be down to a change in manufacturing etc but I see I’m not the only person to notice these faults.
Fortunately the returns process is always very easy on Amazon.

As a wearer of Lee jeans for y years,I don’t understand the whingeing reviews.
The quality of materials is very good and the fit is great.
The old type of Lee jeans was made of denim without elastane and didn’t fit anywhere near as well as the current type.
I know because I still have a number of pairs that I’ve been wearing for years.
Time moves on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rather baggy knees.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2022
Size: 32W / 30LColour: Blue BlackVerified Purchase
The amount of stretch is good, just a little for comfort when moving. The fit is normal at the waist but the legs are quite wide, particularly around the knees so they look quite baggy which I don`t like, hopefully washing them will reduce this a little. I usually take a 32" leg but it was not available so took a chance on a 30" at the price - perfect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great jeans at a great price
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2015

As a long term Lee jean fan I am fully satisfied with this latest pair that I have just received. I was a little concerned about some of the negative comments I read and must disagree with concerns about the quality and thickness and as to whether or not they are genuine. I also like the fact that there is a little bit of stretch which for me makes for a more confortable fit. A normal full cotton pair with 34" waist can be a little tight for me whereas a 36" can become too loose after wearing for a few hours, hence the need for a belt. The 1% elastic in the fabric of these jeans makes all the difference to me and I can wholeheartedly recommend these jeans to others. Great jeans at a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars ordered by mistake but not a problem

I thought I was ordering another pair of Brooklyn Comfort but turned out fine. Both styles are good. Well made. Just the LEE label over the belt - I usually hate brand id but this is a classic and discreet like the Converse Star (both of which remind me of growing up in the US in the 50s and 60s). 'Clean black' is exactly what it says and the denim quality is very good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sizing is small

Husband has worn 34” lee jeans for several years without any problem ..... but these jeans have a much smaller waistline (and no it can’t be put down to Covid lockdown bulge!). Measured against his existing pair, the waistline is about an inch an a half smaller. So we ordered a 36” which seems to fit ok. May have been just a rogue batch that was made up smaller?

1.0 out of 5 stars Quality of product.

Have worn Lee jeans for many years due to the excellent heavy fabric quality.
New pair received and returned today due to the cheap material they were made from. I could see the light through them unlike previous Lee purchases.
Google ‘Lee jeans quality’ to see this is a common problem in various countries.
Sorry to say that after many years of buying Lees I will taking my business elsewhere.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too stretchy and baggy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 December 2019

This model of Lee jeans used to be 100% cotton and were perfect for me. Now, like many jeans brands, these contain elastane. They are stretchy and looser in fit than their cotton predecessors. They were too baggy for me and i am not skinny. I sent them back. Now wearing Wrangler Arizona classic straight which suit me better.
