How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 starsGripping horror
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 December 2015
The synopsis of this film is enough to make you want to watch it. A man wakes up in a pit full of dead bodies. He has no memory of how he got there. After escaping he enters a house full of strangers who are also extremely agitated and just like him they have all lost their memory.

The elephant in the room though is that if they are all alive then who has killed all the people? That is when the fun begins. What I really liked about this film was that it continued to surprise, I got it wrong every time I tried to guess what was coming next and that for me is a real plus.

The cast are a brilliantly disparate group too and they all do an excellent job of keeping you right on the edge of your seat. The pacing is just right; the make up spot on and even the music gets the mood just right. There is not a lot not to like here (sorry about the double negative). It was filmed in Hungary but has a feel of being American despite a cast that is International. If you like your horror’s to be a bit on the dystopian side then you should have a look at this.

3.0 out of 5 starsZombies with a difference
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 July 2021
Starts really well, a man wakes up in a mass grave with total amnesia. He's stuck until a mute oriental woman lowers a rope and pulls him out. The film is a tense thriller to start with but eventually sinks into shock tactics. Well acted, well-paced, but can't someone come up with an idea that isn't basically Aliens, Predator, or zombies? What if it is a plague which has killed off most of humanity and left a lot as crazed killers? It's still a zombie gore fest. You may find it worth a watch but I wouldn't watch it again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mystery Horror with Strong Start but Weak Ending
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 June 2019

The trailer does give you a bit of an idea about what to expect with this film but also might lead you to think this is more of a zombie fest survival horror than what it actually is. It's more of a thriller mystery with some gore rather than an out-and-out horror as the film focuses more on the mystery of the unknown with the people in the unusual situation of each finding themselves with no memories in a strange house surrounded by death and bodies. It starts really well with this as there is lots of suspicion and doubt and the unknown, so it creates an edgy environment where you don't who to trust or what to think, but some aspects do get a little predictable as the film progresses (or did for me, at least).

None the less the film did otherwise develop fairly well if a little slowly here and there but it seemed to lose its way towards the end a little and definitely could have finished with a much stronger ending considering how well it started.

I'd give this 3.5 stars as it was certainly watchable as a one-off but four stars would be a bit too generous and I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Movie at £3 delivered (new) - what's not to love!

Gonzalo López-Gallego, who made Apollo 18, has delivered in spades with this low budget movie. For less than a fiver (£2.75 😲) new, I just thought it would be "just" OK.
It was fantastic, I loved it and only gave 4☆ as it has no extras.
And to think I paid 4 times this for The Nun, which was pants!!
Simple film making at its best, and at this price I hope you will be as pleasantly surprised as I am - enjoy 😀

Very good, and one heck of a good movie. Storyline is a bit linerar towards the ending, but the beginning, and middle are good.

Would of been better if it was longer, and had a slightly bit better ending, but the main point of the movie is quite good, even though it’s description is a bit misleading.

Still, if you are a prime member or are looking for an actually decent movie in 2019 (which is very rare to find), this one is defiantly worth a watch. You won’t regreat it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining nonsense with a weak ending

Entertaining and atmospheric, but falls flat towards the end.

The characters are all a bit over dramatic and you don't really feel invested in them, especially as they were dim enough to get themselves in the mess they find themselves in.

Sadly falls into the trap of trying to be cool but having no resolution which is ultimately unfulfilling (this is a really pretentious trend with movies in recent years that needs to stop).

Finally, an entertaining film worth watching. I have sat through and nodded off through so much rubbish recently that I was extremely grateful to find this horror/mystery/thriller. Thoroughly gripping, kept me guessing, extremely well acted and a suitably atmospheric musical score. Thank you!

Group of people with memory loss try to figure out why they are surrounded by dead bodies. An turgid, plodding film that sometimes show scenes of promise, only to be dashed by the slow, disjointed direction. The pace is the real killer. What a shame - the plot and idea are excellent. With a different director this could have been such a good film.

It starts really well and is an interesting way of playing out the story. It has the same feel as the TV series 'Lost' but the ending was thought out. It all makes sense however the ending is a bit weak and I hoped for something more as it started really well. Still worth a watch

4.0 out of 5 stars Good film. Highly recommend and Sharlto Copley is terrific

Good film. Highly recommend and Sharlto Copley is terrific. Not sure why so many negative reviews. Thought it was very well acted, good script and solid story. Keeps you guessing as to what is going on... has some great plot twists.
Its a creepy film and very dark. If you watch this film and are thinking its going to be a typical Zombie Apocalypse movie then you may be disappointed.
