My usual size is XL and I bought the black XXL size after reading other reviews and I'm glad I did as it just barely fits. Would recommend 2 sizes up if wearing thick clothes underneath and wanted extra room around the chest, otherwise it's a light long jacket stylish for casual use.

I ordered this as I have several winter coats, but was in need of a light jacket for bad summer or good autumn weather, particularly one a bit smarter than anything I already had.

As it happened, I didn’t have much need for it at first (having ordered it in July). Having now reached late October I’ve been getting more wear out of it lately, though I suspect that I’ll soon be switching to something more suitable for colder weather. This is quite a thin jacket, designed I guess for rain rather than for warmth, though it would suffice for a chilly evening.

While it’s not a full-length trenchcoat-type jacket, it’s longer than most others. I’m about 6’3” and it comes down past the top of my legs. My girlfriend (who’s about 5’8”) borrowed it once and, on her, it’s almost down to her knees. The length is handy if it’s raining. On that note, I find it fairly waterproof, given that it’s light and relatively breathable. (I do have another jacket that’s more waterproof, but it just makes me sweat instead, because it’s not at all breathable.)

Another thing that I like is the style. If someone doesn’t look too closely, this could almost be a blazer rather than a jacket. I may not be the smartest dresser at work, but I think this is suitable professional attire.

On the downside, I find the fit a little funny. Maybe I’m more than a 42” chest these days, though I don’t think a lot more. I can do the poppers up if necessary, though it’s a bit on the tight side if I’m wearing anything more than a t-shirt. Not really a problem so far and, as mentioned above, I’ll probably be switching to another coat once it turns cold anyway. Further, I find it’s a bit tight around the shoulders, and maybe a touch short in the arms, though that’s fairly common in my experience (again, I am quite tall). It’s enough that my arm movement feels a little constrained.

All in all, I do like it, but it’s a jacket only for certain occasions (light rain or light chill) and not a perfect fit, at least on me. The price (currently £70) is also more than I’d normally expect to pay for something like this, even though it does feel well made. For these reasons, only 4*, though I’m glad that I have it on suitable occasions.

A super simple basic that really benefits from being unadorned with labels, branding or any superfluous design elements. Cut nicely as a classic lined mac, it's ideal for dressing up or down and should get some good use commuting to the office with a smart outfit and at weekends over casual wear.

For sizing the 40 chest is an M - my preferred sizes - and fitted me well. I was concerned that the arm length might be too short (the model photography has a subtle jumper sleeve cuff that makes the coat sleeve look longer) but it's absolutely fine for me.

It's probably best suited as a spring/summer (and I suppose early autumn) choice, as it's relatively thin and the slimmer fit doesn't freely allow for significantly layering up underneath, besides a jumper (a padded gilet wouldn't work). It's not waterproof, but has a shower resistant outer that can brush off light, short duration rain.

Only negative is the price - it is slightly over-priced in my opinion. While it is well-made and does what it should, it really is a no frills garment so doesn't quite justify the current RRP.

Too shiny, and poor fit

Had high hopes for this, having had some Find clothing before (shirt; jumper) that I really like, and I thought offered good value for money - looking and feeling way better than their price tags suggested.
However, this coat is very shiny, and I feel a bit like I am wearing a bin bag. The fit is also not quite right. The length on the body and arms are fine, but I find it is too narrow around the chest (despite being fine around the waist), and the top of the coat is too high, resulting in a very high collar. I am pretty slim, and normally fit small clothes. Not got a muscular chest, so I imagine the chest on this would be tight on most men.
The coat seems well made and stitched, with strong poppers to fasten it. But the poor fit and shiny finish really ruin it for me. And I think the price tag is at least 33% too high, given what is available from high-street clothing brands at this level.
