Good quality for the money.

Two useful items in addition to the Berghaus shell range (check the zips in ads) there often isn't wording to is that these can be substituted for the fleece jacket inside a 3 in 1, the Gilet and the Vaskye. Not together of course can be zipped in and make a huge difference in warmth, certainly. On a blustery hill top etc with temperatures under zero and the wind chill factor much lower - 15c the fleece isn't enough. The cold gets through with a fleece and that's with 3 layers below all of various wools.

It isn't black and it's rather poor quality.

When a garment is described as black and the photos show an item that looks black you purchase it thinking that the item you are going to receive is, well, black. Unfortunately, it isn't the case with this item (see photograph of the jacket placed next to an item that is actually black). Anyway, the craftsmanship is rather shoddy (see additional photographs). One would, and probably should, expect a little more from Berghaus and a jacket costing over £100. Quite disappointed.

Brilliant jacket, great price, awful delivery service from Royal Mail who refuse to acknowledge the last ten years of change within their business. Was treated like a irritating inconvenience, to my face, by the Rochester RM staff. Had I noticed the seller used RM I would have avoided them.

This is a decent jacket for the colder months. It’s surprisingly light in weight, but nonetheless has a good amount of padding for warmth. I have not been out in a real downpour in this coat yet, but it is certainly very water resistant, though I imagine this material will not be totally waterproof under extreme conditions. I wore it down by Brighton Pier in a biting wind and it did its job in keeping me warm and comfortable in adverse conditions.

I had the large size, which would normally be a comfortable fit for me. It does fit, but I find it a little on the snug side. It’s got a couple of smallish zip pockets, one on each hip, and a smallish inside pocket, also zipped. Personally I believe it could have done with some more pocket capacity. Value wise, I think you are paying for the security of buying a known brand, but then you are assured of a quality product.

Nice jacket. Wore for about a minute with fits of laughter from the missus. It is massive. I’m normally a large. I’d read the reviews and having previously owned a Berghaus jacket - I went one up. Big mistake. Go to your proper size.

Big issue though? Clearly this is a returned item as it was missing outside tag, and the inside labels had been cut off. Quiet why anyone would do this is beyond me. Then they returned for some unknown reason. I’m not going to go down the ‘fake’ route here - but this is wrong. Should not have been sent out again. Hopefully this is a one off, as it’s going back straight away.

Amazon were great sorting things out though. Not happy with goods dispatched with labels and tags missing.
