2.0 out of 5 starsShorts, meet ankles
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2020
I bought these shorts to take on a quick holiday in the sun. I didn't end up taking them with me in the end, and here's why.
First of all, while they look good in the picture, the thing you'll notice in person is the garish plastic gold buttons that fasten the back pockets, and are also sewn on as decoration above the pockets on the front. They're horrible, although with a bit of careful work using an Exacto knife I was able to remove the buttons without also taking off any fingers. So far, so okay.
The second and far bigger issue is that although these medium sized shorts did indeed fit me without either being too baggy or too tight, when you walk or move around, they instantly start to slide down. I'm not fat, but I'm no waif, and this definitely doesn't happen with any other pair of shorts I own.
Naturally add a wallet and mobile phone, and they'll be round your ankles before you've even got to the front door. It's not a look I favour.
TL;DR - These shorts look less good in real life than they do in the photo, and their elasticated waist band is slack enough that they fall down with very little encouragement.
My view? Don't bother, unless plastic gold buttons and accidental indecent exposure are your peccadillos.
