Great for a MacBook/had issues but customer services resolved it quickly and are lovely!

Brought this for a MacBook. This is good it clips onto it easily, it is packaged very well to make it sturdy, and it keeps my MacBook safe. The durability is great to. The colour is lovely (I went for pink). I would say the material is like a matte plastic finish but it is very smooth and you still have access to your ports. I haven’t found that my laptop gets hot with the case on which is a good sign.

However, I have had issues with bad smudging on it, despite me always making sure my hands were cleaned before I touched it (the first thing I did before opening up the screen), it looked like I had smudged ink or charcoal all over it which was bizarre and that was after a few days of use. Spoke to the seller, and tried cleaning which made it worse, but the seller has now kindly sorted this out for me in what to do with it. I would still recommend as I feel this could happen with any case you get it’s just whether you get sent a bad one or a good one I feel? Don’t be put off by this review as for one the seller is great at resolving the issue, and two it could have just been a faulty case.

It does not fit model A2179 released in 2020 as it is said in the advert

This product does not fit my Macbook air 2020 A2179. It supposed to be for the models before 2020. I bought one Macbook case before which actually stated for model number A1932 only but because I did not read carefully so that was my bad. But for this one, as I know this fitting issue already, it is only because the advert said it fit model number A2179 so I bought it. But the fact is it does not fit and has the completely same problem as the previous case I bought - it fits A1932 only. So the advert misled my purchase completely. The instruction actually stated only A1932 but I don't understand why the seller made up the A2179 in their advert. I enclosed the product instruction comes with the case, as well as other photos which show the problem of the fitting - there is always one side of the base cannot be hooked in, also it restricts the opening angle of the Mackbook. It is very disappointing and in fact very annoying when I am aware of the potential issue, and tried to avoid it, but still misled by the advert.

Teal colour is a nice sophisticated shade. The case is made of translucent frosted plastic, it feels smooth and almost velvety in a way. Doesn’t look cheap but does leave finger marks. Light weight and not bulky. Easy to put on and simply clips into place. Fits perfectly for my MacBook Air 2020 (A2179). The laptop can be opened to a maximum angle of 110 degrees which is more than sufficient for me. There is a strip on the back that is exposed and unprotected and unfortunately is an inevitable design feature as covering it would prevent the laptop from opening at all. When closed, there is a 1-2mm gap all the way around that is exposed where the case doesn’t quite reach the very edge so there could be a little more precision here. The base is vented to allow airflow, so far hasn’t gotten hot. I would probably still use a laptop sleeve for added protection should I be travelling with it. From previous experience with similar hard shell frosted cases for phones, they are prone to cracks even without knocking about so I’m not sure how long it will last. Should mine break anytime soon, I will update this review!

*** UPDATE
Less than 1 month later, as anticipated, a small crack has appeared in one of the corners. My laptop has been sat on the desk in the same spot and used only a handful of times! Has not been moved around at all. I have a frosted flexible iPad cover which is a year old and still looks as good as new. If you can find a flexible cover for laptop, get that instead. I would not waste money on a hard shell cover like this one

Cracked already.

Using it on a Macbook Air 2020.
Corner has cracked already and one of the tabs refuses to go on you can see from photo to the right of corner crack.
No amount of pushing or squeezing will make it fit.Case creaks and groans when you push the lid past 90 degrees.
I think this was why the corner cracked.However it is half the price of the stupidly expensive Kuzy cases.
Would not attempt to remove it as i feel the tabs are too brittle and will break.

Update now cracked and chipped on both corners after 6 weeks.

Update again it's in the bin!

Poor fit for Macbook Air

Although advertised to fit the new M1 Macbook Air, it is not a proper secure fit. It is literally impossible to engage all the clips on the protective case which would create a secure fit to the MacBook, even after applying considerable pressure to the case and macbook. This means that the protective cover tends to come loose at various points, although not to the point where it falls off the MacBook. Also, disappointed that the blue case marks very easily and looks greasy after normal carriage. The protective casing itself feels pretty robust and I imaginer it will last many years, but that is not the point. Try another brand.

My case arrived today, it seems of good quality, was easy to fit on and doesn’t weigh too much. However, the amount of plastic wrapped around the product is unjustifiable. It simply didn’t need 3 layers of plastic wrap to keep the product from being scratched, much more sustainable paper bag would have been sufficient. Please consider using more environmentally friendly packaging in the future.

It doesn't fit the MacBook air M1 it comes off so easily, it's very flimsy and not even worth the £12, I don't know how these cases have got so many good reviews, it's literally like something you could buy from Poundland. My previous MacBook I had a speck case and it was fantastic, but I can't find them for the m1 version, so I ordered something similar to the speck case off of apple directly that is much more durable for £40. If you've bought an expensive MacBook air M1 for £1000+ you would want something that's going to protect the thing. This mosiso case wouldnt protect anything. It's paper thin.

Lovely colour and the bottom part fitted fine, but the top doesn’t fit properly. It says push it down until it clicks, and believe me I was pushing, but was reluctant to push too hard in fear or damaging my beautiful new laptop which cost over a grand! One side clicked on but it seems it’s not big enough for the other side to click on securely. There were also some odd marks on the cover, which I tried to rub off with a damp cloth but this made it worse. Sending back and buying from Etsy instead!

I am not a dirty person! I wash my hand regularly and don’t apply hand cream all the time but this Matt Navy laptop case (I didn’t realise it was Matt when I purchased it) always looks filthy! The slightest natural oils from your hands marks it! I washed the case, washed my hands, picked it up and it still happened! So I’ve given up now and will order a different case. Such a shame as the case looks great when clean!

This is a very nice looking protective cover but 2020 MacBooks have a double USB-C port to take an adapter for standard usb, so card etc. Problem with the cover is that it prevents the the adapter from being fully pushed in. I am not happy to keep removing the cover
