An attractive belt, but a degree of style over substance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 January 2020
I bought this belt in November 2019 for just under £13. The first thing to mention is that it looks great: a lovel shade of tan with an interestinf (but still fairly discreet) buckle. It looks good worn with chinos but it may be a little narrower than some people would like for their jeans. Personally I don't think it would make a good formal belt either: the etching on the buckle would detract from a nice suit.
I can still squeeze (just!) into trousers with a 34" waist, so I ordered the size M, which was supposed to be for waist size 34" - 36". I would say that this is inaccurate - it would be much more suitable for 32" - 34" waists, so I would encourage you to buy a size up from what the seller indicates. It's also worth noting that if you have even a tiny bit of belly fat which protrudes over your belt whilst seated, this buckle quickly becomes very uncomfortable: the corners of the buckle are slightly pointy and because they just out at an angle, the top one digs into your belly quite painfully. Having a shirt tucked in lessens the discomfort to a degree as it acts as a barrier between the buckle and your skin, but it's still unpleasant.
Finally, I'm also a little sceptical as to whether this is actually 'full grain leather' as it is described. Having worn it for about 6 weeks, both the wear pattern and the tactile feel of the belt (particularly on the underside) are much more remininscent of bonded leather than full grain leather.
