I ordered this for my 14 year old son thinking a medium size should be ample. It fits perfectly, so bear that in mind if you are ordering, as he is only an average size for his age.
The black polyester/cotton/polyamide fabric is soft, and feels as if it should be water resistant, but probably not entirely waterproof.
The jacket has two waist height poppered pockets (one on each side), a zip breast pocket, and an inner zipped pocket. Contrary to the information on the product page the jacket can be washed at 40 degrees, so no worries about having to pay for expensive dry cleaning.
It is good quality, and my son really likes it. He said it kept him warm while out on a cold day, and dry in a shower. It looks good on him too, although I am not altogether sure whether it is worth the £40 price tag, which does seem quite a lot for a jacket of this type.

The jacket is mainly polyester and as others have said, it looks as though it can be machine washed, not just dry cleaned - the label says so anyway.
The jacket fits well, has two,outside pockets with metal stud fasteners and a single zip up chest pocket. The main zip fastener for the jacket works well, it’s easy to slot the zip into the zipper ( sometimes a problem on cheap jackets) and zipping up the front feels smooth.
The jacket feels good and looks good too - great for casual wear, but no inside pockets at all could be an issue for some. I also found the outside pockets felt as though they were placed a little too far back for me - but it’s a minor quibble, will use this jacket quite a bit and at the price it’s great value...

The jacket fits my teenage son well and looks good on him. He says it will be perfect with a hoodie under it!!!. I think it would be more suited to being over a t shirt or shirt or jumper but then my sense of style is different to his (I am pleased to say.....he probably feels the same way!) The jacket has 2 side pockets with studded fasteners and an outside zip up pocket upper chest area. It has an inside zip up pocket. It is a jacket for a teenager or young man in my view and looks stylish. My main concern from description was that it was only dry cleanable and it was going to love a star for that. Pleased to say label says it is machine washable. Great. Nice looking stylish well made jacket. It has a quality feel to it.

This is a nice smart casual jacket, which feels soft to the touch and which fits well - it is true to size. There are a few pockets, two side 'poppered' pockets, one external zipped pocket on the front of the jacket and one internal one. The jacket washes at 40 degrees - so you don't need to worry about the dry cleaning bill if someone spills something on it.

This looks smart on, but it is a casual style - so can be quite versatile. It is lightweight and quite thin - so not really for winter wear, but could be used in most seasons of the year.

If you're old enough to remember Top Gun, it's likely that this is too big for you, but appropriate if you're a young man in time for the sequel. I mention that film because there's something subtly aviator about it - but I can't explain why.

That said, you wouldn't need to be in the cockpit to wear it, and the understated style looks timelessly cool. I don't think it would last too long, but it is slightly built more for looks and disposability, and the price reflects that really.

As others have noted it is indeed machine washable.

Material feels so smooth and it feels great on, looks smart and nice shade of blue.
One minor thing I found the pockets a bit far back than I normally like but it wouldn't put me off of buying it at all.

This jacket is really nice. It's very comfortable and is good quality. It has a casual but very smart appearance to it.
It would look best in my opinion over a smart shirt. It has two pockets with push studs and also a zipped chest and inner pocket so is also practical.
