Running shoe for feet rehabilitation

I suffer from Plantar fasciitis, and I have been using barefoot running shoes but developed a tendency to run on toes instead of rolling from heel to toe.
Which was fine, but it didn't help with the condition so it took longer for the heal to improve.
I bought these running shoes to retrain the heel to toe action, and also to cushion the pressure from my tender heels whilst road running.
I have to say, so far so good.
In addition, the better quality of the shoe really does improve the standard of running, as it seems I work less with these shoes, but a difference only detecable by seasoned runners I thnk.

Falling apart after a few months

I am so disappointed with these runners.

I have been buying Asics for years and years and they normally last at least 18 months or so before I buy another pair.

This pair started falling apart almost immediately. The inner sole has frayed and the outer sole is coming away.

These may well be from a bad batch or something but the seller is just trying to fob me off and is refusing a return.

I have given these a couple of big work outs, a 13 and 10 miler.
I am very impressed and I expect a lot from Asics
The best thing is that I ache a lot less after a big workout wearing these
It could be my particular running style/ gait thing but whatever it is, when I run like hell in these running shoes I experience far less aches and pains afterwards

Took this out for a test the day it arrived and was very pleased with the fit. I have very Wide feet and decided to go half a size up, and did not feel any tightness or pain in my feet or knees afterward.
I tested these running on a very rainy day on a wet road and found them to have sufficient grip, however the very tip of the shoe isn't as strong in this department. It's nothing youd have too much trouble with unless you were running in icy conditions.
The only other thing worth mentioning, is that the shoes can get fairly wet due to the breathable fabric.
I was caught in heavy rain, which almost immediately seeped into my socks, but surprisingly didnt weigh the shoe down or leave the shoe feeling" squishy".
I've worn them since in much lighter conditions and they adapt well.
They can also be worn for everyday use and are just as comfortable for walking around in.

Good shoes for running mid-long distance. Currently running approx 30km per week on roads, and these are supportive and comfortable. They seem to have reduced the impact on my knees, and legs are less sore after a run than with my previous trainers.

Good running shoes but not perfect

Maybe it's because my downhill pace is over 1m/km faster and my uphill pace is over 10s/km faster than the 5km times I was posting with my Asics Patriot 10s, but over the course of a week (about 50km) I find the Gel Pulse 11s not as comfortable initially. I do find the Gel Pulse 11s quite light though (in comparison with the Patriot 10). Running comfort aside, the Gel Pulse 11s do offer good support and can enable good performance, including for sprints. They are very comfortable for walking however.

I have used ASIC's for years. I actually did not buy these for training but as a leisure shoe. Although ASIC's have always been on the expensive side, they have served me well. I have bought 3 pairs recently (2 for the gym), the sizing is a little tighter than it used to be. The material quality is not as robust as it used to be but is fine. I will never ever buy NIKE, but it may be time to perhaps look try another supplier to see if their shoes match up to expectations.
