Great garden slippers but with little protection for hard graft! Come up big on sizes.

First impression on opening the flimsy cellophane wrapping was that these are very light and slightly stiff. They seem more plasticky than rubber, think of a styrofoam picnic plate but perhaps a bit more heavy duty. However they were returned within seconds as being too big, more like a UK 10 than the 9 they were supposed to be. You’d expect this in welly boots to get the thick socks on. So being a clog style and not wellies this would not do, you’d slip around in them or they would fall off.
The size 8s have just arrived and fit fine and are comfortable with a slight springiness to them. They will be fine for mooching around the garden, although I suspect the feet may get a bit sweaty after a while, but it is easy to see they will not cope with hard garden labour such as digging or offer much protection from spikes, thorns nails etc. They are fairly ugly really and so I won’t be allowed out in public with them on.
