A bit small and tight

UPDATE OCT 2019: I still wear these all the time and they are still wonderfully comfortable. The straps did stretch a little, although the strap across my little toe rubs if not in the exact right position. Great purchase.

I purchased the solid black in a size 8. I always wear a size 8 in all shoes. These sandals are just a bit too small (my heel sits at the very edge). They are also a bit tight in the toe box area for me. I do have a wide toe box, so I wasn't surprised by this. I am hoping they will stretch a bit as I wear them because they look super cute. In hindsight (and to my surprise) I would probably have needed an 8.5 or 9 in these, but I am keeping them as is.

I absolutely love my Chitobae beach flip flops. I have wore them everyday since they were delivered. They are very comfortable and soft. The soles are really thick and water absorbent , not like those other name brand flops that are thin and hold water making you slip and slide while trying to walk in them when wet. Well worth their price. 5 ++stars

What a pleasant surprise! I bought a pair for my wife and according to her, the sandal is very comfortable. The sole is thicker and softer than the average sandals, and protects the arches of the foot really well. We bought other sandals from amazon before. But they were either uncomfortable or ugly. This pair meets my wife's needs in both aspects. She chose Cherry color, which matches her complexion. I also bought a pair for my mother-in-law, and she was also satisfied and will wear it to the beach during summertime. I'm 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Love these sandals... super comfortable! However, the only setback with these, but not a huge deal for me, was that you need your hands to put them on.. lol. In other words , if you’re at the beach barefoot, & have to put them back on... I would suggest you put them on first before you start getting all your belongings. If you try putting them on just using your feet, you won’t be successful. Other than that they are awesome sandals!

i’m normally anywhere between size 6-7 so I ordered the 7 to be safe and they fit! these are so comfy and cute! the only downside is that you can’t just slip them on real quick, you do have to use your hands to adjust the straps into place, but it’s worth it.

Irritating to put on

The soles of the flip flop are thick, food for people with arches. The straps are kind of itchy though and since they’re not stiff they twirl together when you stick your foot in the sandal.. takes like 10 seconds to get the straps right when you’re putting it on so that the shoe doesn’t irritate your skin or slide off when you’re walking

Tough but Stylish

I bought these for a recent trip SE Asia. Between lots of time on the sand and riding on the back of a motorbike, I put a lot of wear and tear on them, but they held up and remained comfortable and stylish. It was, at times, hard to get my toes through the braids, but in some instances, it was to be expected ( taking them off and putting them back on while on a bobbing boat). Also remarkable, they didn't have as loud of a flip flop sound, which I know is irritating to me and many others. All in all, a good product.

Better than expected, WORTH TRYING!

(Army green is totally true khakigreen/drab/army and the sole is chocolate brown, I normally wear a 9w/10 in womens and an 8 in mens tennis shoes. I bought these in both 9 and 10, 10 is perfect.)

Ok i have the worst experience with flops but i love them. I have a wide foot and painful toes, heels, and weak painful ankles. My pinky toe always hangs off the sole and i swear my index toe does all the curling/bracing/hanging on hard work to hold my foot in when i step. I often find my foot fitting in it on an angle, like if i let my foot land naturally my heel would be in the ground -- NOT WITH THESE!

I just got them today and havent even earned the bisters i for sure will get (and they'll be worth it!) But the sole is a thick foam not too squishy but soft AND LIGHT, the rope is soft but seemingly natural braided natural fibers that will likely cause the initial rubbing blisters, but because the fit is so secure and great i dont expect much shifting/rubbing. I CAN STEP MORE LIKE IM WEARING A TENNIS SHOE THAN A FLOP! Oh my gosh my heel stays in its proper place, the flop stays very close to my sole when i step, i dont feel my toes trying to force the flop to not fly off when i walk AND ITS WIDE ENOUGH FOR ME! Although my pinky toe may eventually find its way out i am giving that a resounding "who cares?!" because the best is soooo great.

I just ordered 5 more, some duplicate colors and sizes for safe-keeping. This has been 3 years of searching for a flop to replace my beloved 15year old disintegrated pair. Soooo many sad-faced returns.

****If you are older or have mobility trouble or pain these are worth trying!!!! My foot is more secure in them. I dont feel like a flip flop related ankle roll or trip or injury is as likely as with others, i feel like my footing is much more secure/sure, i feel like my mobility and pain level overall will be better because im not actively trying to walk in a flop that so desperately wants to be free from me, they are super lightweight... the only down-side i can see is what others have mentioned - you cannot slip into these. You are actively putting a shoe on. That might change over years as they get broken in, i had a similar pair in the 90s that eventually became slip-ons, but as they are today they require (me with my mobility issues) sitting in a chair and positioning them. At this time, even though i struggle with sciatica and sitting positions and arm extension and fingertip numbness and control - i am (in spirit, of course) jumping up and down inside. WORTH TRYING!
