A Good Waterproof

I wanted a lightweight and waterproof jacket to see me through the usual British summer. Often, lightweight jackets are barely waterproof and leak during everything bar the odd bit of drizzle. Happily, this one has already been subjected to two downpours and it kept the water out both times. This jacket is not lined so is of no use for keeping out cold. It has a good hood and the zip is nice and strong so should last a while. It folds away into its own little drawstring bag and fits easily into a small rucksack. For the reasons I bought it, it's ideal.

Coat very creased and not dropping out.

I like this coat in that it is roomy, seems effective in showers, has decent zip up pockets.

However it arrived EXTREMELY creased, front back and sleeves. I was told the creases would drop out with wear - but after about 7 wears they haven't dropped out at all.

A friend has the same coat - but no creases.

Obviously this is not a fabric that I can iron so it appears I am stuck with the creases, it makes it look very cheap.

Is a good product but still found ventilation poor. Noticed company have put in ventilation holes etc.which is more than most do. I am an overweight person who sweats so could be this. This was a man's jacket . I bought this because at the time I could not get a ladies in my size. Sleeves too long for me.

I ordered the bigger XXXL for ease of movement, comfort and if I need to it wear over thicker non-waterproof jackets. Estimated delivery was a few days but it came about 2 days after ordering which I was very pleased about. I am very happy with the quality. I would say that the jacket it true to size and the one I have would fit a larger frame. I also love the orange colour!

This is a great pack-a-mac. Material is very light but has good feel. 5000mm proof, though I've yet to test in a severe downpour. Really liked the proper adjustable hood and strong zip. Scrunches surprisingly easily into the little sack and seems very good quality. Size small fits my slim son fine, with room for a jumper or other layer underneath. He's a 36" chest.

Packs small. Kept most of the elements out in a high wind horizontal hail and rainstorm up a swiss mountain. Some leakage around the zips but these packaway coats are limited in what you can reasonably expect. Seems pretty tough for such a light coat.

The main thing was that it is easy and light to carry everyday and if the weather turns nasty it'll keep the worst off and help as a wind break.

Not a winter jacket on its own

I was looking for a lightweight waterproof jacket I could wear walking summer on its own and winter with layers. This jacket wouldn’t be warm enough on its own in winter but that’s fine for me I will just add a fleece or two. The only problem I had when testing it out in heavy rain was that it let in rain on the chest area through the zip hence 4stars.
