I’M NOT HAPPY- The shirt is a tad thinner than expected and the sizes are all over the place
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2021
I noticed a large number of customers complaining about shirt sizes and that they were either far too big or far too small. I agree entirely. I ordered 7 shirts from 7 different sellers and it’s like having to crack the enigma code all over again, I have absolutely no idea what’s going to turn up. Heaven knows how many shirts they get returned every year but going by customer reviews I’m guessing it’s quite a big number.
I asked the seller twice to confirm what size I needed for a 48” chest but received no reply, I asked Amazon customers and I got three different opinions. I noticed one customer had taken a photo of the shirt sizes from the packaging and it said XXXL 47”/48”. So, I took a chance and ordered that. The shirt arrived in supper quick time and I was relieved to see XXXL 47”/48” printed on the shirt tab. However, I put the shirt on and it was so big it was bellowing in the wind. When I took the shirt off and measured it across the chest it was 54”. I’m dumbfounded.
How can they get shirt sizes so wrong? A size chart often shows different sizes from various different countries, why, a person with a 48” chest will measure 48” in any country. A size chart can also be generic, it will show you several different shirts and the customer has to decipher which shirt on the list is the one they are buying, only to find that the one they are buying is not on the list, why. Some sellers don’t have a size chart at all, they only have S, M, L, XL and your left to take pot luck, why?
Sellers should make ordering a shirt a lot simpler by displaying one (Correct) size chart. I’ve totally given up now until I’m desperate for another new shirt and the pain starts all over again.
