Excellent value, great ski pants

Size medium, I’m 5’8 32/34” waist 31” inside leg and these ski pants fit like a glove. I usually only wear long johns and a t shirt under ski wear so found medium to be a perfect fit, if you wear something thicker underneath these ski pants I suggest (that if you are the same size as me) going up a size. The waist is adjustable and can be reduced a couple of inches if required so if you are 34/36” waist, definitely go up a size to large.
These pants are very comfortable and provide plenty of manoeuvrability when skiing. They are very well made. I have had no issue with the top button that some have reported but they do come with spares. I’m very happy with this purchase

We had a chance to put these to the test slightly sooner than anticipated (Easter ski trip in our sights), with the recent snowy weather in the UK - these came in very useful. My husband took our children out tobogganing and he was the only one to get home and be completely dry (on his bottoms half at least - a few snowballs to the head and one that fell down the back of his jacket meant that he got quite wet elsewhere!) He was also pleased that the contents of his pockets stayed dry thanks to the waterproof zips. The ventilation vents are a nice touch (but haven't needed to use them yet) and I am most impressed with the inclusion of the RECCO-system sensor, which can be used to locate you in case of avalanche etc (perfect for the ski trip - not so necessary where we are!)
As well as the technical aspects, the fit is great - perfect for my husband, but there are adjustable straps on the waistband if you need to tighten, so if you are between sizes, you could go larger and adjust accordingly.

These are well made and comfortable ski trousers. The fit was good at the waist, as the waistband is adjustable via a Velcro band, but a bit long in the leg for my 5'8" brother. Everything feels as it should - there are plenty of zip pockets and these are waterproofed; the fabric feels strong; the trousers are nicely padded; there is a tight elasticated waterproof section on the inside of the legs. There are two waistband fastenings above a zip fly. The top fastening is a hook and loop, the lower one is a snap fastener - they're finished in the same way on the outside of the trousers, so the only clues that the two aren't the same is in the backings attaching the undersides (which differ) and the supplied packet of spare fastenings - which includes one set of each kind. Made from 100% polyester and machine washable (but not suitable for tumble drying). Although this does include Recco tracking, this consists of a single Recco reflector. It's recommended that you wear more than one, so you do need other garments with Recco tracking inbuilt, or to add extra reflectors for this to be most effective.

As a 32/34 inch waist. the XL size was a little large on the waist. There are adjustable velcro tabs on the waist, and I needed these to be an inch or two longer. Fortunately the trousers have strong belt loops so that was helpful.

The trousers were exceptionally comfortable, but possibly to the point where they're better as general use cold weather wear than ski wear. For me, the legs were too wide and flappy to offer agility.

The pockets are deep enough to be useful, and the trousers dry thoroughly very quickly.

The biggest problem was that I broke the waist fastenings on first use. The waist is fastened by what look to be two press studs. They clicked open very easily - to show the top one wasn't a press stud, it was a hook and eye fastening that was now completely broken.

These are a pair of men's ski trousers, which have proven to be very useful in the recent heavy snow that the UK has been experiencing. They are a little larger than I was expecting, but by the time I'd put an under layer on beneath them, I didn't really notice much. The seams were the first area that I wanted to pay close attention to and thankfully, despite wearing them out in several heavy snow showers, they're been zero instances of leaks or dampness seeping through. I've also worn these for Nordic Walking and as well as being warm and waterproof, they haven't been too heavy or uncomfortable to wear when I've been exercising/hot and sweaty underneath. These are comfy and have kept me protected when out in some truly horrid weather, so I've been glad to have them on.

Beautifully made, excellent quality trousers that were unfortunately too small in the waist and too long in the leg for my average sized partner. However the construction and quality was excellent. Really nice pair of trousers. The addition of the RECCO Avalanche system is a reassuring detail, though BeaconReviews points out that for a rescuer becoming proficient with the RECCO detector takes even more practice than using avalanche transievers and does only work at very close range (as little as 10m in wet snow).

Overall a great quality product - but something that may be better to try on instore to get the perfect size.

These are a pair of trousers for winter sports, and are intended to be wind and waterproof, while still being breathable for when you are exercising.

First, a word on sizing - there is no indication on the product page as to what size (in terms of waist and leg) the sizes correspond to. For reference, I am 6' tall with a 34" waist, and the XL size is larger than I'd need; it's very slightly longer than it needs to be, and the waist is very loose unless I pull the handy elastic strap (attached with velcro at both ends) as tight as it will go. If you have a 36" or larger waist, these are probably fine - I'd guess that for my size, an L would be a better fit.

That said, I have to say that these are incredibly comfortable to wear; they have a very soft lining, a padded layer for insulation and a top layer which is wind and waterproof. There are zips on each knee to open up a mesh vent to aid breathability, and there are small, fleece-lined zip pockets on each side at the front. A Recco avalanche beacon reflector is built into one ankle.

The waist is secured with a zip fly and a popper, and it's a nice touch that spares of the popper are included in case it falls off! The aforementioned elastic strap helps with a comfortable fit, and there are wide belt loops as well. The ankles have inner elasticated ends which will fit over boots; these are hidden under conventional trouser ends to aid a more normal appearance.

I've not yet had a chance to try these in the snow, but they look and feel great; the wadding lining feels warm and comfortable, and the outer layer seems tough and hard-wearing. It would be good if Amazon can actually give some more concrete size advice, but that's my only real complaint about these.
