Never having put on a pair of skinny jeans before I was still under the impression anyone wearing them must surely be cutting off the circulation to their legs (not to mention their unmentionables). So it was a pleasant surprise to find this pair were in fact quite stretchy and flexible, due to them being 2% Elastane, 98% cotton. Highly recommended based on comfort alone and, also, recommended if what you are looking for in your new jeans is a pair of jeans that even after one wash begin to fade to look like a favourite pair of lived in jeans. The placement of the knee slits doesn’t quite tally with the actual places wear would occur based upon where my legs bend at my own personal knees but that’s no bother. Post wash, the initially slightly too clean cut looking knees slits gain the appearance of wear and tear consequences and all in all, nicely comfortable, offering a slightly raggedy edge to your look (if that is what you desire). Mildly alarmed by the warning label to “KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE” but in general, I do tend to keep my clothing out of bonfires, away from gas cooker flames, etc, so not overly concerned that these jeans will bring about my fiery demise.

Are ripped jeans back in again? I am never sure with fashion and it is not always my bag, but a pair of utility jeans are always useful, even if they do show off a knobbly knee or two. The FIND collection of jeans have all been a set of good quality trousers that do the job required. The 'Men's Skinny Knee Slit Jeans' also do as they are told. They come in a dark black that should fade after a few washes, but out of the packet they look crisp. The USP for them is the slit. It does seems a little too uniform for my liking like a cut made by scientists in a lab. It will take a while for it to weather - the newly black jeans don't automatically scream they should be ripped.

These particular FIND jeans will likely come into their own after a few wears, more scruffs and fading will help give a better distressed look. The sizing is about right, but 30 is already a slim fit, so add this to a skinny fit and you may want to go one up ensure that they fit. You may want to just buy a pair of dark jeans yourself and cut them as you wish, but at least

Ripped jeans but these look too much so ripped on purpose as a straight line, no rough edges at all just too neat. Looks like someone in factory has got them and put scissors in each one in one go as each slit level with each leg.
The material themselves is a good quality feeling one. Sizewise a different think altogether have a pair in the black and also the blue and the blue ones same style etc are so much wider and no way a skin fit or skinny one. Think this range really is a bit hit and miss with sizes unlike the slots in these jeans cut to a definite measurement. The black ones are a skinny fit but not a cut your circulation off type and the colour looks good. Husband did say they would look better without the slits in them as normal jeans. Still waiting teenage sons reaction to them he’s either going to think them hideous or cool. The big question though would I pay the price of over thirty pounds for a pair of these? Sorry but no way on earth can find other designer jeans for less and if wanting distressed slit jeans would go for ones that look like they are meant to be slit.
I suppose though that these are called slit jeans so they are slit and not a distressed look.

Decent skinny jeans, lousy job of faking wear

These pre-aged effect jeans, just don't cut it. The aging effects have been so carefully, equally and levelly applied that they look precisely what they are - manufactured wear, instead of the wear that comes from breaking in a nice pair of jeans. The 'washed' effect seems to apply primarily to the thigh section, and both sides seems to have exactly the same degree of fading in exactly the same place. Weirdly, the areas around the knee rips aren't some of the more faded looking sections, which is partly why these ripped sections end up looking so strange. With genuine wear, you get fading around the rips. The other part is that the knee rips are perfectly and precisely matched: at exactly the same level, exactly the same length, and with no fraying at all. 98% cotton, 2 % elastane, machine washable but not tumble dryable, these can be ironed on a low heat. What kind of monster irons jeans? Fit seems to run true, though the highly stretchy skinny fit is verging on jeggings.

These are the first of the FIND brand jeans that I have been unimpressed with.
The sizing, colour, finishing, fit etc. is good as per usual (although featuring quite a high waist)
But the knee slit is really cheap looking - it's simply a straight scissor cut and exactly the same on both knees. I know that it is cheaper to make it that way, but it also makes the jeans look undeservedly cheap.
Another thing is that there is no reinforcement on the back/side of the slit, so if you put the jeans on in a hurry, you risk ripping them a lot more a lot faster and potentially in a way where the only option afterwards would be to turn them into shorts.
Very good quality finishing, materials, colour etc as per usual, just a shame they didn't think it through with the knee slit.

These are a strange fit for skinny jeans. The legs are indeed skinny, but the jeans are unusually high waisted and saggy under the crotch.

The slits are identical in both knees, and they're poker straight lines - there's no unraveling or natural wear effect. It looks like you walked into a strimmer.

The slits are also quite narrow, they don't go the full width from seam to seam. So when you sit down you get a bulge of extruded knee forced out.

You can improve the slits yourself, just take a pair of scissors to them to widen them and lose the identical twin effect, but you're still stuck with a saggy crotch and the naffness of having both knees open.
