Great material, great fit

I loved the colour of this shirt (Turquoise) on screen and it’s even better in reality. I’m looking for a replacement source of Oxfords as my current retailer is closing down…or technically going online only. The material is just what I wanted soft, unstructured and heavy …..a true casual Oxford…not for office wear. I’m a 42in chest so usually M end of L. I chose a L this time as the shirt is slim fit. Bingo…perfect fit. Very happy. I will buy more.

I was looking for an alternative to the Uniqlo oxford shirts I buy and this is not it. The Medium was too small, so I returned it and the large is just a bit big. It looks alright, and I probably won't return it, but I doubt I'll buy any more either.

Not really impressed with this shirt. The material is awesome - it's great for a casual shirt, so you don't end up with some see-through. However - I feel that the sizing is pretty weird. I'm 5'7, 165lbs. I ordered a medium, where normally, I size down to small. The measurements are spot on, however the length isn't mentioned in the sizing chart. There isn't an extreme amount of extra fabric around the sides or back, it's perfect in that regard. However this shirt extends past the groin and almost creates a mini skirt dress looking thing. That'd be cool if I was into that kinda thing I suppose. I measured 41" long for length. The sleeves are kind of long as well, they're about 36". I've tried shrinking it for several days, since it's 100% cotton, but there hasn't been a noticeable difference. Unfortunately, I will have to throw this one out.

Think twice on size

Shirt is good quality and comfortable but sizing is off at least for my body. Followed listing measurements first time and went with large. Because of slim cut the chest was too small even though listing gave it as my chest size. Returned and ordered XL which is good fit in chest, little less fit in waist. Weird part are the cuffs. They seemed much larger and out of proportion to upper part of sleeve. I kept it because I intend to wear with sleeves rolled up and no one will notice.

I bought four of this model in different colors for cheap yet versatile work shirts. The fit is nice and would look good on most body types because the shirt does have a defined waist without being too tight through the chest. You get a flattering hourglass shape. They do flare out a little bit too much around the hips to be called slim-fit though. I am 5'9" with an average/athletic build, so tucking in the excess fabric makes me look like I'm wearing a pair of pleated slacks as a top. As well, the material of the shirt looks too casual for any formal occasion. In the right outfit, people will say you are well put-together, but by no means will they say you look elegant.
But more importantly, I wore a shirt for one day of work, and noticed a hole in the sleeve. I do not work a strenuous job around sharp objects, and the most stretching I do is across the desk for a pen. So why I have a hole in my sleeve can only be explained by cheap materials. I have shirts in this price point that have lasted years as office job shirts, which then have gone on to become hiking shirts. Only after years of service do they yield to the forces of tension, and I wish I had bought more of them while they were still being manufactured. I cannot say the same about this shirt. While it is courteous of Amazon to offer a 7-day trial period through Prime Wardrobe to try on the clothes, the convenience of a moment does not make up for the quality of a shirt's lifetime. In conclusion, I am not mad that I conveniently bought four shirts. I am disappointed that 25% of those shirts developed a hole after one wear. I wish Amazon would either adjust their pricing, or improve their materials sourcing and return policy.

Not good if you're between medium and large

I have broad shoulders but small waist (31"), I overall have trouble finding shirts that fit me well as larges are too big in the body but good in the chest and shoulders while mediums are the opposite. I was hoping these would fit well but do not. Still the best brands for me are Goodfellow at Target (surpisingly) and Bonobos and LL Bean mediums.
