I bought a size small for $13 and they fit me perfectly, I'm around 28"-30" waist. They stretch so I think I'd even be fine at a 32" waist.

They fit very comfortably, most of the time I don't even notice I'm wearing them which is a good sign. They didn't shrink noticeably any of the times they've been washed, and the color is staying true now 9 months after being purchased. I wear them quite often, I'd live in these types of shorts if I could. Very basic and they get the job done. The logo isn't obtrusively large, it's just there. I could do without the logo but it's no big deal. The shorts have a drawstring, it's effective but I never feel the need to use it, they fit fine as is. The pockets can hold my phone and even my 8" tablet and 7" GPS. Not that you need to carry around a GPS or tablet in your pockets, the point is the pockets are spacious and shouldn't have a problem fitting your phone and wallet.

These would be a steal at anything less than $10 but at $13 I'll still recommend them.

If you ever owned Champion products before, you know what to expect here and that’s not a bad thing. However, after wearing products from Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour you do notice some things like they are cut just slightly larger than the competition. I suppose this is why they became so famous for their sweats back in the day. However, this makes working out a bit weird because if you have a phone in the pocket even if you use the draw string they like to slide a bit. Overall I love these as they are the one short that always seems to work. A lot like getting a pair of Converse.

Listen. I'm an elder millennial, the kind that only realized "oh, I've been queer all along, huh" in recent years. This is the kind of dude basketball shorts I wore in high school in the early 2000s, waistband folded over, hem of a t shirt knotted, sleeves rolled up. You know the look.

ANYWAY I'm bringing it back! If the self-discovery journey of a 33yo white mom is relatable to you, get these shorts, I guess?

(I'm 5'3", 175lbs, obviously they're absurdly long on me. They fit my spouse (200lbs, 5'11") well though.)

These shorts tend to show sweat more than other shorts, I find. Also, they seem to retain odor more than other shorts—even cotton shorts. I thought mesh material was supposed to wash out bacteria better? Idk. But other athletic shorts seem better, even the Amazon basics. I guess they aren’t mesh tho.

Like some other people who've reviewed these, I discovered just a few steps into my first run in these shorts that the elastic just isn't doing its job. Fortunately, I also wear long, loose shirts when I run, so I had enough time to get to a point where I could do my best to tie them in place and get home. This was with the pockets empty, mind you - if I'd had even my keys in them, I doubt they'd have stayed on for more than a minute.

It's too bad, because they're comfortable for both running and sitting, but there isn't much point in buying shorts with pockets when you can't use the pockets, and there are competitors who've got this thing figured out (again, like some others, I had bought this and one pair of Russell Athletic shorts, and I'm getting more of the Russells now), so I probably won't ever know when Champion starts making shorts that stay up.
