As expected from the Pierre Cardin brand, this product was very nice quality and was exactly what I was looking for. However...
I ordered size 2XL which is two sizes larger than would fit me in order to have a baggier/looser fit. When tried on, this sweater was barely what I would expect from a size M-L!! It was far too small. I returned this to the seller with a full explanation but...
Seller did not refund the full amount, stating that the garment had not been returned "as new". This was totally incorrect since the sweater had only been taken out of the flimsy plastic bag, tried on, taken off and folded exactly, and returned. There was no reason for seller to withhold any money and, indeed, all sellers should expect that clothing will need to be tried on for fit. I lodged a complaint with Amazon and Amazon immediately rectified the "mistake".
Given the appalling service from the seller and the clear attempt to only give a partial refund for no valid reason at all, I give the sweater 4 stars (because the sizing was wrong) and the seller 1 star (because I cannot give a negative rating). Under the circumstances, I would suggest future buyers from this seller first get a clear indication in writing from the seller of their returns policy and an undertaking that a full refund will be given immediately - unless a product has been damaged, of course.
I have never before given a seller a negative review, I always focus only on the products I have received. In this case I feel future customers should be aware that they may not be able to return or, if they do, are liable to have only a partial refund.
