Merrell has been my go to shoe for years. However, the last two pair I purchased have been sub par at best. Wore out much quicker than usual and this last pair never felt "right". The backs would bunch up, internally, and feel weird. Very disappointed. Have gone to another brand. Sorry Merrell....

I purchased these shoes thinking of the quality Blisters Blisters Blisters I have wore off and on for about 6 weeks and every time blisters I walk about an hour a day I have to wait 4 days before I can wear again I would not recommend these shoes I wish I was able to return So uncomfortable Total waste of money

The Wide sizing fits great and very comfortable but they are NOT waterproof at all. My socks get soaked even if small amount of water/snow/slush gets on shoe.

These shoes are like walking with bricks on your feet. I would be returning them, but missed the deadline. Very stiff shoe, not much padding. The left toe box doesn't fit well at all. They feel smaller than the Merrell 13 W pair I have. They are water proof. Not easy on your feet at all. 13000 steps in these shoes is all my feet could take. Very stiff, clunky is the best word I have for them.

What happened?

I've been wearing Merrell since 2009 and though they were really great, well-made shoes. The last pair of Moabs I purchased was in 2017. I had ordered 8.5 and that's what I ordered again last week. When the shoes arrived, they were very tight around the top of my foot. I compared them to the Moabs I have from 2017 (which are worn and will get relegated to garden duty) and there was a noticeable size difference around the toe. Specifically, the new Moabs are narrower. Also, the size in the shoe is 8.6. This doesn't make much sense. The newer shoes also felt really stiff and uncomfortable otherwise; I get that some new shoes can be this way but this felt way off. Overall, I don't think I'm going to buy shoes online anymore since there's been a real discrepancy in sizing and comfort, and I don't want to keep ordering and returning ill-fitting products. I guess this is goodbye to Merrell too, since it looks like corners have been cut since 2017. That's too bad.

I have worn the MOAB for years, both for work and pleasure. They have been an excellent shoe for trekking through the woods, especially with the waterproof lining. I normally go through a pair every 6 months and I can generally order the same size every time and wear them right out of the box as extremely comfortable. But the pair I bought last September was just not that comfortable and this latest pair purchased in March feels like the shoe is a narrow, but Merrell does not make a narrow that I know of. They now come with a removable liner that is paper thin - I replace the factory liner with a good walking shoe liner before I even put them on my feet. I wore them for a 6 hour hike last week and it took 3 days for my feet to recover. I am currently looking for another brand that might bring back the comfort of the old Merrell.

So i got my shoes trough Amazon and the seller is Allshoes.
I didn't notice that they are producing shoes In Myanmar nowadays , i looked it up but coulnd't find any info.
Also these are considerably larger than my previous 4 merrell shoes (made in vietnam, china and US),so this is really raising some questions.The picture here as a Mdry tag on the shoe but on the one that i received it has a waterproof tag , any one with the same experience ?also the sizing is odd too , my previous merrell's are true to size but this one is a lot larger i always worn 10.5 on my Moab's but this feel like 11.5.So kinda a confused on whats going ???And out of my previous 4 shoes 2 i bought in store and 2 online.
