Well made rifle support

I bought this item to help me with my pcp air rifle shooting. It is well made and robust and exactly what I was looking for. I filled both front and rear bags with cat litter from an 8 litre bag I bought from Alde for £1.55. You can't get cheaper than that !! The filling arrangement is well designed and secure after filling and so far I have not had any leakage.
This provides a heavy and stable rest for accurate rifle target shooting. It is heavy to carry around and I guess similar weight to filling with sand, but I would rather have this than light weight polystyrene beads which would not provide as much support.
I am pleased to recommend this item.

Perfect, except it stinks

I don't really understand this one, and as nobody else has mentioned anything it's probably not a widespread issue. But this product appears to have been soaked in diesel, or some sort of oil/fuel that smells identical to diesel. Touching it leaves my hands stinking of diesel which doesn't easily wash off. Everything I touched before I realised what was going on in now tainted with diesel and stinks. I opened the box in a large room, and 10 minutes later I had a headache. The packaging doesn't smell and isn't soggy or damaged, so it hasn't been subject to a spill during delivery, it left the factory like this. I've washed it, and it's nearly dry but the smell remains. It's essentially unusable until I figure out how to clean it. I'm baffled as to what's going on, and as nobody else has mentioned this in reviews, I wouldn't worry about your order. It's a brilliant product apart from this strange issue.

Great product but an even better seller!

The product is good quality and well presented as expected from BSA, however through no fault of the seller I opened the item, started filling it with play sand and realised that there was a hole in the seam so the sand spilled out. Clearly a manufacturer random fault.

I contacted the seller who, within an hour, replied, apologised and agreed to send me a replacement in exchange for photographs of the fault so that he could take it up with the manufacturer.

I will definitely purchase from this seller again, keep up the good work 👍🏻

As others have said, for the money this is a great rest.
I used about 6 bags of rice to fill at £1 bag from Tesco.

For those thinking that this would come pre-filled, it doesn’t!

It is smaller that a tripod or shooting pillow and it largely depends on your style of shooting. I use it at the range and it does the job. Perhaps not entirely suited to zeroing scopes as there is some movement but I’ve managed to get pretty close.

I don’t seem to be using the heel attachment much, preferring only the larger bag but that is personal preference. It’s useful though especially having the clip together function so it doesn’t get lost.

Happy with the purchase.

Reasonably priced but the quality was a bit lacking on the one I received - when filling the larger section with sand some of the stitching bulged and started to come away but it was simple to fix with a needle and strong thread.
If that hadn't have happened it would have been 5 stars since it makes for a very steady rest for target shooting.

I use this on a table top for air rifle target shooting and it is more steady than using the bipod on the rifle.

Arrived on time. Very well made,looks like it will last for ever. I filled it with cat litter. Result not too heavy but extremely steady. Holds the rifle or pistol rock steady. I have used expensive steel rifle rests which are much more expensive than this but this one holds the rifle just as steady. Saving me a lot of money.

These two items as a package do what the principle implies. If the end user does not fill both items properly, they will be disappointed in levels of support. I filled these with Lidl kitty litter granules and they do a good job.
Build quality is excellent and on the back of this I investigated and ultimately bought a BSA R10TH .22 Air Rifle. Support a company that has been building to protect us since 1861.

This is a very good quality 2 piece rifle/pistol rest, purchase. Very well made in a strong material, with soft, velvety pads where the rifle contacts. You fill - (in my case, supermarket, £1.50, Cat litter), via a provided integral tube, with velcro sealing. This is then is held in place (underneath, out of sight), by a small strap. An embossed BSA logo, makes the kit look really cool. I look forward to using it very soon. Thanks, Seller.

Bought for resting a .22 air rifle on a table for zeroing scope and table shooting.

Comes un-filled which I expected as I read the description. Filled with 5x 1kg bags of long grain rice which was exactly the right amount. Around 40p or so per bag from Aldi. Firm when filled but still malleable enough to shape slightly to rest the barrel and keep it stationary.

Glad I spent the extra couple of pounds on this one rather than one of the cheaper ones available after reading all of the reviews of loose stitching and poor construction. This seems well made and the stitching all seems to be sealed very tight.

Only had it 1 day so will update if things change but so far I cant see anything going wrong. Happy with my purchase.

The main bag provides a good rest when bench shooting, I just use the smaller one to keep the stock steady when I have a break. I used about 5Kg of rice to fill them. (90p per 2Kg at Morrisons)
