NOT Waterproof What's happened to Karrimor?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2020
I bought these shoes in February, wore them once or twice in light rain, and they seemed fine. I didn't wear them for months because I found them a bit uncomfortable and heavy, and didn't need them over the summer. I have had to start wearing them again with the recent heavy rain, and found that they are NOT waterproof. I have only walked in them about eight times, through long wet grass (not waded through any puddles) and my feet are wet every time, culminating in today, when I have just got back from a 45 minute walk over chalk grassland - mainly short turf but some longer patches of grass - and the shoes have let in water around the toes and down each inner side of both shoes so my socks are soaked. (It's a cool day, I don't have sweaty feet - THIS IS RAINWATER) I have bought Karrimor shoes for dog walking for years - they have always been ok and lasted well, except for the last couple of pairs, that came apart pretty fast. I have never bought specifically 'waterproof' shoes from them, and as these are so shoddy I never will again. Don't waste your money.
