Amazing boots for the price .

I'm more than happy with these boots , I have worn now 7 nights at work and on my feet nearly 10 hours every time , so I can be very honest with my opinion and experience . I have used mainly Magnum boots , the last pair were not so good and had paid £65 for them , these Savage Island boots are better quality and only £30 . I had to get used to the all leather normally I use the leather fabric style , but I have no problem with the leather , maybe the first night worn I could feel a little chafing on my upper ankle , but the leather is thick, and this has never been a problem anymore since wearing these . The boots are high 20 cm. 8" from the inside and I like the extra support from this , amazing quality at a fantastic price . I can say nothing bad about these boots , only wish I had tried this make before .

Black Full Leather Army Combat Patrol Boots Tactical Cadet Military Security Police (10 UK)

I bought this product as my current Tactical vipers have a scuff and I needed something that looked a little smarter for an event at work and also to give a cheaper pair of tactical boots a chance.
As soon as I opened the box I could see that the leather around the tongue area has been badly cut and shows clearly as white please see added image.
I would return this item but I do not have the time to wait for a replacement pair so it looks like I will be colouring them in with a Sharpie pen for the event..
These boots may be good for general wear but I would not advice any one to buy them for use as Cadet Military Security or Police boots as they do not look smart.
I will not be buying this product again as it is well worth paying the extra for better quality tactical boots.

I'm in the emergency services, so I was looking for a pair of boots that would be comfortable to wear all day long -12hr shifts - and in all seasons, and would not break the bank too. Overall I am happy with the fit and comfort of these boots, however I have only given them a rating of 4/5 stars for only one reason, and that is because they squeek really loudly when walking around, or moving in them generally speaking. I'm hoping that they will become quite after wearing them for a bit longer, but if they were silent from the day of purchase, they would have been a 5 star purchase.

For nostalgic reasons I was originally trying to buy a pair of Dr Martins but every pair I've tried just don't fit but even worse the quality of the leather they are using these days is awful, it feels paper thin.

In my search for an alternative I came upon these boots from Savage Island. I originally ordered a pair in my usual size (9) but found they were too small, so I ordered a size larger (10) and they fit OK, I think a 9.5 would have been perfect for me but they don't make them in half-sizes :)

As for these boots, they are awesome. The build and quality are excellent. Nice think leather and everything stitched and glued properly. I put them on as soon as they arrived and wore them for a 10 hour shift with no soreness at all. Wonderful.

I've not been out in the rain or in wet conditions yet so I can't speak about how weatherproof they are but the tongue is stitched in so it should go some way to stopping the wet sock syndrome - time will tell.

All in all I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them, though I would recommend ordering a size bigger than what you normally wear.

Poor sole thickness

I was initially pleased with these boots. However, after only two months use the heels have worn through, letting in water, The sole composition is clearly fairly soft, which accounts for the excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions, but is so thin that it wears through too quickly.

I've always got a least a year's wear out of other combat boots I've purchased. Two months is totally unacceptable.

Very comfortable fit from the first day. I purchased them for my job as I do some walking. The down side of this is that the inside of the boot st the bottom of the sole it has broken as if it's coming through . I couldn't return them as it was too late. I had been wearing them for at least two weeks but not every day. I have bought myself some insoles which covers the hole in both boots. These are still comfortable. The only trouble is it's costing me every time I buy insoles. The two stars are for comfort of the boot and perfect fit.

Had these for a while now. Worn everyday for driving and trudging about in a dirty, muddy yard.
So far holding up well, not advertised as waterproof but still keeping the weather out ( when riding a motorbike ! )
Fit is slightly large on one foot, the other is fine.
For a pair of boots that get knocked around a bit they are good value !
