To be honest, I don’t really run and, while I would like to lose a little weight, I’m not likely to start at this time of year. Nonetheless, since I don’t own any other means of transportation, I do walk a fair bit. I sometimes find this leaves my hamstrings feeling tired, if I do a long walk after a while without much exercise, and I also sometimes suffer chaffing on my inner thighs. I figured that compression shorts might help with both problems.

One difficulty is knowing what size to order. I would normally go for Large or XL, being about a 38” waist, but I couldn’t find any size guide in the product information (or on the actual shorts when they arrived). I went for XL and they seem to fit me reasonably well. They do feel tight, which I suppose is the point, but not to the extent of being uncomfortable. However, I note from the description that they are supposed to be very tight, to the extent that they are difficult to put on. I wouldn’t say that this is the case with mine, so it’s possible that the size is too large to observe optimum effects.

As I say, they are tight, to the extent that my girlfriend suggested it would be indecent for me to leave the house in them. Well, as I said, I’m not really a runner anyway, so I decided to wear them under my normal trousers, which I’ve been able to do for a day at work. Even wearing them for a fairly extended time hasn’t caused any discomfort, though they do make doing to the toilet more difficult.

I can’t really say I’ve noticed any difference in circulation in my legs. Perhaps the XL shorts aren’t tight enough for this to be more noticeable. However, they do seem to have helped avoid any chaffing on my thighs so, while this isn’t exactly what they’re designed for, I’m glad that I’ve got them for this reason anyway.

It’s too early for me to comment reliably on their durability, other than to say that they’ve not fallen apart after a couple of washes, but they feel well-made so I expect them to last a while – though I do worry that if they stretch, and lose elasticity, then their effectiveness may diminish as they get older. As I say, it’s too early for me to say whether this will happen.

I received a medium and am a 34/36" waist. These fit comfortably, obviously they are meant to be somewhat tight to act as compression.

Very pleased with the quality, they are strong and stretch well so are comfortable. I have worn them all day and not once have I felt discomfort. The rainbow stitching is a nice effect but doubt many men will purposely pick compression shorts for the type of stitching although it is well made and no loose threads.

There is a small pocket on the back for small items.

Overall I do like them, the only thing I would point out is they are very pricey for what they are.

These are nice neat exercise shorts. The size we got, large, did fit my partner but ran slightly small. I guess it's "large for someone who does exercise". He found that the compression adds resistance to his movement, which was good, and the rainbow stitching is a stylish subtle touch. The pocket on the back is a handy little feature, but very small. You can fit your locker key, but not a bunch of keys or your phone. It will give you a bulge on the back of your waist, but never mind. I have bought a pair of shorts almost exactly the same from Marks and Spencer- same pocket and everything- and they are a fair bit cheaper, although they don't do them for men. Anyway, you can definitely get this kind of thing cheaper elsewhere.

These look nice, and feel very comfy. The quality of the fabric is good, and you can almost feel you are not wearing them. The zip at the back is an excellent addition, as there`ll always be something you need to carry. Other than the small being a smidge tight - it was probably a bit ambitious of me (I wear 30 inch waist trousers) - my legs felt very warm and they are very easy to run in, and black is always a good choice. I`m not sure the rainbow line offers anything positive.

I have already got the full-length version of these shorts so I knew that the shorts would be just as good. They are very stretchy and comfortable to wear, I have washed them once so far and they came out fine!

I really like the quick-dry material as I do get pretty sweaty in them!

The only minor complaint is the pocket is small but that's not the end of the world.

Laufhose ohne ausgeprägten Kompressionseffekt

Mein Mann hat sich aufgrund guter Vorsätze bereits eine knielange Laufhose der Firma Ultrasport gekauft (Ultrasport Herren Laufhose mit Quick-Dry-Funktion). Bei der hier getesteten Kompressionshose Rainbow sind keine Gummis am Ende des Hosenbeins vorhanden, die ein (hoch)rutschen verhindern sollen. Während die erste Hose in XL zwar recht stramm, aber nicht eng sitzt, ist die nun getestete Version in L straffer, was aber der angepriesenen Kompressionswirkung förderlich sein dürfte. Mein Mann ist ca. 1,86 m groß und hat – ja, das hört keiner gerne – einen kleinen Bauchansatz. Dennoch ist die Version in L keine Quälerei, sondern lässt sich gut tragen. Hinten hat die Hose – wie auch das andere Modell – eine kleine Tasche, um einen kleinen Schlüssel oder dergleichen zu verwahren. Ein Handy oder ein Schlüsselbund passt da aber nicht, selbst eine volle Packung Taschentücher wird zur Herausforderung. Die Kompressionshose Rainbow hat – wie der Name schon sagt - Nähte in Regenbogenfarben, die andere Variante mit Nähten in intensivem Blau gefällt uns besser.

Zum Laufen ist auch diese Hose sehr gut geeignet. Zwar sind die Nähte spürbar und nicht so flach, wie bei der Produktbeschreibung erwartet, Rötungen durch Scheuern von Nähten oder Haaren konnte mein Mann aber bislang nicht feststellen. Kurzum: Die Hose ist gut, eine erhöhte Kompressionswirkung – abgesehen von der kleineren Größe – konnte mein Mann nicht feststellen. Ein bereits getestetes Kompressions-Shirt von Under Armour hatte da eine deutlich stärkere und unangenehmere Ausprägung.

Il s'agit davantage d'un short que d'un pantalon. En effet, comme sur la photo, il arrive au-dessus des genoux, comme le fait un cycliste. D'ailleurs, ce short ressemble beaucoup à un cycliste si ce n'est qu'il ne possède pas de renfort de selle. D'un point de vue compression, là encore, c'est ni plus ni moins qu'on peut avoir avec un cycliste.
Utilisé pour courir, il a un bon maintien et ne remonte pas le long des cuisses.
La taille correspond à ce que je porte habituellement.
Composé à 80% de polyamide et 20% de spandex, le tissu ressemble à du lycra et est agréable à porter. Lavable en machine à 40%, il sèche très rapidement. Nous n'avons pas noté de perte de couleur en dehors de la bande arc en ciel qui s'estompe.
Il possède une petite poche zippée à l'arrière, suffisamment grande pour y placer vos clés ou un porte monnaie, mais pas un smartphone.
Bon produit.

Taille bien ajustée et matière agréable.
Parfait pour le sport avec un rapport qualité prix intéressant.
La compression est bonne sans être trop important.
Pour ma part je suis satisfait du produit mais pour ce genre d'article il convient d'essayer au préalable.
L'ajustement est très différent d'une personne à l'autre.
