Real Leather?

I am very disappointed with these shoes. Based on the description, I expected the upper portion of the shoes to be real leather; however, the part that covers the top of the toes and foot has cracked and peeled like some sort of vinyl. The shoes are no longer attractive looking even if they are not uncomfortable. I have only worn them in good weather and they began to crack along the crease of the toe almost immediately. Perhaps these shoes meet Rockport's (apparently low) standards, but they do not meet mine. I had expected better. Be warned: if you want to purchase a pair of genuine leather shoes, better look elsewhere. I probably won't purchase Rockport shoes again. These let me down within a couple of months.

I've only used for a month and the tread pattern on bottom is wearing out already. 2nd time in 3 years I've bought these shoes and the first pair was built better. They've cheapened out on the materials. I still have the old shoes to compare to. I bought them again because I liked the quality of the first pair. I have been mistaken. For the price I'd expect the same quality as before. But in my opinion they now compare to an overseas no name brand worth $30.

I bought these shoes in February 2022 and it’s now May 2022… as you can see by the picture, these just aren’t holding up well. I wear them 5 days a week in an office setting so they are far from being abused. The leather started cracking almost immediately, and the shoe laces are always coming loose. Just very disappointed considering the brand name and cost. They are comfortable which is why this isn’t a 1 star review. I would not buy these again, and I’ll probably stay away from Rockport in the future.

Apparently Rockport has decided quality doesn't matter. I started to return these shoes when they first arrived, but didn't, and now regard that decision. They are of poor quality. A single scuff across the toe looks as if shaved the outside layer of leather off.

2 stars because shoes are cheaper than normal rockports. That being said the "leather" is more like plastic and sole is made of something more like foam instead of rubber or hard material. nothing like my rockports i bought 2 years ago that are made really well and have lasted. very disapointed as I always looked to rockport for durable long lasting shoes.

Another quality American brand now selling some inferior goods. Thin all around, especially the soles. Rockport is usually known for thicker, very comfortable and supportive soles, not these. They shouldn't have the Rockport name attached.

I’m on my feet all day and need a comfortable shoe but one that looks good with khaki pants. I have had Rockport shoes
Before and loved them. Wish I Callie say that about this pair. They have very little arch support and are not comfortable without added gel supports. Also, the uppers are not well made. The brown on the toe started flaking off after the first week. I won’t buy these again!
