These were great as work shoes for a muddy/wet music festival - never had any mud or water get in them over the course of three 14-hour days.

A couple issues that keep them from being a 5* product:
-they run just a little large, so the first day I wore them they kind of felt like a shoe that was coming untied - a little slippy on the foot. I wore a second pair of socks and that fixed it, and I imagine insoles would do the same. (weird thing - I bought a different model shoe from the same brand in the same size to decide which one I wanted to go with, and that one ran small.)
-maybe it's because I wore them for such extended periods, but by the third day they were absolutely killing my achilles tendons, not in terms of rubbing the skin but in terms of supporting that part of my foot. I'm hoping an insole will help with that, because otherwise they were actually pretty comfortable.

I bought my first pair of these 3 years ago. I wore them every day cleaning horse corrals, chickens pens, and yard work. The held up very well until glue failed at the seams connecting the upper part of the shoe to the foot bed. But I got 3 good years out of them and they are the most comfortable of all the muck type shoes/boots for general gardening and yard work. I reordered them again. I am a woman size 9, and the men’s 8 fit perfectly. I hope they can improve on the quality of adhesive holding these together, because other than that, they are the best.

I run a canine rescue organization and I work in a kennel environment where there is a lot of water. They are great shoes. They are waterproof. They are comfortable. They wear out in about six to eight months. I have about 4 pairs of them where the top part of the shoe is still great and shows very little wear. But the rubber soles of the shoes wear down pretty fact. I'm walking on smooth concrete floors most of the time and walking dogs on asphalt or grass the rest of the time. I still buy them because they are the best for what I do. I just wish they lasted longer.

Sturdy But Tight

The shoe fits snug. Unfortunately the band around the top of the neck of the shoe cuts into the back of your heal. I developed a blister within 10 minutes of walking around peoples yards repairing irrigation issues for their homes. I am trying to use shoe trees to stretch the rubber band at the top of the shoe and the heel area. I placed a bandage over my blister and it seems to help. I hope the stretching alleviates the friction, tightness and snugness. The soles of the shoe are comfortable and rather sturdy.

Ordered Much shoes many times in the past and always got cam shoes. Now they apparently have quit making these shoes in camo or green so....black or brown are the only 2 choices. Would have been a 5 if I could have ordered green or camo.

I wished these shoes lasted longer, but that doesn't keep me from buying them again and again. I get about 2 years out of a pair before the outer rubber over the toe box cracks causing the shoe to leak.
